hey guys. I see that switching from this kernel to elemental X is doable but I was wondering if I can switch to the other kernels posted for Pixel 5 without messing anything up. has anybody tried ? Or a better question to ask : is kernel flashing something that can be done easy ? What would the best route to follow? Do you have to go back to stock kernel and then flash a custom one or you can flash a custom kernel to replace another custom kernel ? Does every new kernel overwrite the values of the old one or maybe some of those values/modifications get carried over from the previous kernel ?

Non rooted, Android S image (sp beta4 2021-07-15)
Pixel5 redfin SPB4 boot image CS 2.8.8: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664787109

Stock SPB4 boot image if you need to restore

vbmeta of SPB4 to deactivate verity checks on the custom boot image and most probably to do factory reset, DO IT BEFORE FLASHING THE KERNEL, or it won't boot
You can try to deactivate the vbmeta check before the first booting up right after sideloading the full OTA beta zip, maybe that will let you boot without factory reset after vbmeta verify disabling.

Deactivate, you might need to factory reset if you don't follow the OTA-update/disable-before-first-boot procedure (fastboot -w for factory reset)
Code:
fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta_redfin-spb4.210715.011.img

Re-activate if you need:
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta_redfin-spb4.210715.011.img

Read first post in thread for installation details.

Beta 4.1 works fine with latest cleanslate for beta 4. Google didn't change kernel sources, so all good to go
Sometimes my pixel lags extremely bad for some reason until I restart it, I am on Android 12 beta 4. When I have YouTube running in the background and switch to Snapchat, it closes YouTube and freezes really bad on snap. Is that because of the processor or is there something on ur kernel I can tweak to have better performance?
