Hi guys.

I do not understood if this kernel (or any other) is so more conservative that is more laggy than the stock or, i know extremely example, than the performance governor.
For example: when i do an update all from play store, the stock or the performance (obviously, I know) doesn't make laggy the phone in operation like scroll.

Thanks, expecially to developer.
There is no longer a "performance" governor. The governor in use is called "scedutil" and is used by default for most all custom kernels with their own changes to the values. I have not installed this kernel yet but I used it in October and it was excellent and did well to conserve battery. Are you running any magisk modules? You should disable those first and see if there is still lag after a reboot.

Thanks for the reply.
No, I have only smali patcher and systemless host.

The "performance" governor I mean the button in kernel manager app that change the frequency and its Behavior.
And that button unequivocally changes the behavior of the phone.
Games that require a lot of resources like Pokémon go change their performance based on that setting or not.

This I said about performance.

Oh, I believe you are using Franco Kernel Manager? I know it has a "Performance" button that adjusts the kernel settings for you. FKM doesn't directly support this kernel so the changes it makes might not be compatible with tbalden's work.

In the pipe is the integration of the new "rootless" possibility of android 11 surface flinger/system ui blur that recently I tried manually after getting info about it from artemis kernel and Twitter.

So it's gonna be in the companion app to trigger it with a new kernel version. A 70 seconds time window of triggering the blur on will be given, upon each boot. Unfortunately this cannot be nicely automated. But this one time window will make sure no accidental system restarts will break stuff.

Stay tuned. :)

Nice the custom roms on my OP6T have the blur in the notification shade on Android 11. I always thought it was stock until I got the Pixel 4xl. Tbh custom roms on this device are missing a lot of things I feel. Like with AOSIP, on the 6T we had expanded screenshots unfortunately no roms have that on this phone.

Hmm interesting. I'm always using stock for development purposes. It seems dirty unicorn is pretty dope with additional features and there are a few others that might aim to add new stuff.

What does it mean if when I flash the kernel Wifi stops working. It doesn't even turn on anymore. I'm running a custom rom that's pretty much in testing right now but besides the wifi problem everything else works great

Are you using the 2.7.1 version or which one?
The latest versions have the WiFi driver built in since a few weeks now. The previous versions had it loaded as a module that was provided by the vendor/rom part.
I wonder if it's some kind of incompatibility with the modules provided by the rom.
So which version of cleanslate do you have installed?

I had the latest 2.7.1 installed. Only kernel that didn't break wifi was fsociety all the other ones I tried did. I don't know what's different with that one.

please put config files under "Documents" folder instead of internal storage.
Not planned. It would mean a lot of updates on several devices.
But next year, I will have a look at Android 10+ requirement of using own app folders on internal storage. Next year it will become a requirement for updating apps in Play Store, to move from generic legacy storage access to per app folders. Then I'll move all files there and change kernels accordingly.

Hi dev!
What do you mean by ' switch DC dimming off in Lab settings' ? (right after the backlight dimmer feature description in post#1)
I think this dc-dimming feature exists in oneplus devices while pixel phones don't have that lol
