hey somebody knows how to apply the DragonFly profile in EX Kernel Manager. Basically what I've done is removed .txt at the end of the file and put it into CUSTOM_SETTINGS Folder. But here's the thing thing when I tap on it in User Settings and the tap ok it wipes all the settings and just leaves interactive governor line. Anyway how can I verify that the profile is loaded?

Profiles need to be put in ElementalX>gov_profiles folder on your internal storage.

Addition: Then load it from the CPU>Governor options setting as @Badger50 said.

If I remember correctly from my 6p days, you place the script in the ElementalX profiles folder you find with your root browser. Then go to the EXKM app, open the CPU section from the menu, tap governor options, then tap load, then select the script you want to apply. You should see the changes immediately :good:

Needs to go in /sdcard/ElementalX/gov_profiles

Thanks guys. I just realized they're all included in the EX manager App. Now I have some stuff to play with.

I also don't have voltage and charging option. I remembered they were there before or is it Rom dependent?

Kernel dependant and they don't do anything. They just show you the voltages per CPU clock.

Thank you for this kernel, ex has been in my life since the 6p and it gives me such a good user experience. I'm on the 5t now but occasionally update the Nexus to keep it updated. Good luck with everything you do.

The November patch is out. Any update ?

This is not proper etiquette (and against the rules) to ask for an eta. Even more so when a security update came out not even a day ago. Developers provide these ROMs and kernels for FREE. If you feel that flar2 or any other developer is not fast enough for you, you can pull commits and cook your own kernel yourself.

I reckon you're getting tired pretty easily. Maybe you should get some rest.

Asking for ETAs on XDA is forbidden. It also includes very clever and discerning ways of asking like "any update?"

Maybe @flar2 has more important things to deal with in real life? maybe he has many devices to take care of? maybe he doesn't owe you any update within 24 hours because he does all of this for free on his spare time?

So, yeah, I'm tired of people like you who behave like a 12-year old spoiled child.

You're breaking one of XDA rules, you're being disrespectful towards the developer and you also permits yourself to make sarcastic comments about me?

I wish moderators were actually doing their job and purge XDA from this kind of "members".

One of them will most likely delete this post but I don't care.

How about you tone down a bit and cut the attitude?

The devs don't owe you anything and like said all is done voluntarily in free time.

Final warning, stay on topic and don't ask for ETAs, period!

Hi, there. I have a doubt: every month when I use the custom mode in ElementalX app to flash the kernel, the I/O scheduler default is fiops, and the readahead default is 512kb, after the kernel installed, it restarts into the system, but when I open the ElementalX app, the I/O and readahead is noop and 128kb. Is that normal?
Thanks!:)

Or maybe not, since Google hasn't posted any new commits for this device. I don't know if they are late or if there just aren't any updates necessary.

That was exactly my question yesterday. November patch was the last update for the nexus 6p. Was afraid there won't be any new updates, not even for this last patch.
Thanks

    ElementalX Kernel
    for Nexus 6P (angler)
    p2214177205-11.jpg

ElementalX is like the stock kernel by default, but allows you to change almost anything you want.

ElementalX is designed for maximum stability. It is made for people who depend on their phone every day.

ElementalX is simple and clean. It does not have useless kernel patches or make dangerous or experimental changes to your phone that cause weird or inexplicable problems.

ElementalX has useful and well-tested features that make your phone better.

    Features
    • Easy installation and setup with Aroma installer
    • Wake Gestures (sweep2wake and doubletap2wake)
    • Sweep2sleep
    • Overclock or underclock CPU
    • Advanced color control (RGB, Saturation, Value, Contrast, Hue)
    • Sound control (headphones, speaker and mic)
    • Backlight dimmer option
    • High Brightness Mode option
    • Option to disable touchboost
    • NTFS r/w and exFAT support
    • Option to disable fsync
    • Adjustable vibration
    • MultiROM support
    • WireGuard support
    • Does not force encryption
    • Does not modify system partition
    • Compatible with systemless root and Android Pay

    Installation

    1. Flash in recovery

For maximum compatibility with all ROMs, ElementalX uses your existing ramdisk.
Do NOT flash this over other custom kernels!
You should only flash ElementalX over the kernel that came with your ROM!!!

    Notes

EX Kernel Manager can be used to configure settings and update or install the kernel quickly and easily.

So, it turns out this device does have a secret doubletap2wake setting:

    Code:
    echo 1 > /sys/devices/soc.0/f9924000.i2c/i2c-2/2-0070/input/input0/wake_gesture

    Surprised nobody found it yet!

If the settings are all there in the free version, why pay?

I just spent $1300 on new phones this month and will spend countless hours developing cool features that will be used by this and other kernels. So I really do appreciate it when people spend a few dollars on my app.
