Anyone know if anyone else is doing kernel development for the phone yet? I was thinking of trying to get in contact with the makers of EX Kernel or Franco to see if they would support it.
Some of us were waiting for the super fancy gold edition to hop on board. Just ordered mine this morning. The lack of factory images also hinders progress a bit since we can't easily revert when testing.Razer dev is pretty much dead.
To be dead it would have to be alive in the first place.Razer dev is pretty much dead.
I agree with you, I wish razer would take a leaf from oneplus, I mean just look at the dev section. The only reason I didn't buy is the phone having been locked down and lack of dev support and yet I so wanted this phone. To be dead it would have to be alive in the first place.

I'm realllllly missing being able to flash ROMs and play around with settings you don't get on stock ROMs. That and great themes. It is really not that bad as it is mostly stock android, BUT I am really missing substratum and center time as well as a few other things.
Any word from Franco?Franco of Franco Kernel has received a razer phone and said he will be adding kernel support once the factory images are released!
Time to get building is his last tweet after new kernel sources in official site this nightAny word from Franco?
awesome, i can't wait!!!!!!!! =d =d =d
Just have to get twrp up and running then get anykernel configured. I won't be committing kernel.org changes to bring the kernel version up to 4.4.120 until the Oreo kernel drops just so it makes it easier for me lol. Then I can test if the kernel even boots ?awesome, i can't wait!!!!!!!! =d =d =d
Lets hope that they release the oreo kernel source on par with the release of oreo (and let's hope that they also release oreo factory images!!!).Just have to get twrp up and running then get anykernel configured. There's definitely a battery drain issue in the MR3 builds I noticed it once I updated to the latest build. What's causing the drainage as of yet I don't know but I plan to look into it at some stage.Lets hope that they release the oreo kernel source on par with the release of oreo (and let's hope that they also release oreo factory images!!!).
Battery management on this phone kernel is not so great, on my old S8+, battery lasted for 1 day (I always had 15-20% before going to sleep). With this phone, even tho the battery is bigger, I barely get home with 5-10%.
