This kernel is working great for me on Stock Jellybean 4.1.1 rooted and running MA6 Modem/Radio update

I was running AGAT 0.3.3 and then tried this one - very smooth and no issues so far - can't tell battery life yet

I couldn't get KToonsez kernel working on my phone - not sure why but Deviant seems to be very nice so far!

--------------------------

Edit: Ok yeah, I do see how when you turn the phone to the right or left (sideways) the display is upside down.

Sprint phone (not Verizon) so that might be the issue - only one I've seen. I usually use the phone upright anyway so not a big deal to me.
+1, I'm getting the same screen rotation problem on stock 4.1.1 with a Sprint SG3. Any work around for this or just be patient and wait for the next version?

Great kernel aside from that, it seems super quick and all the governors are awesome.

I'm getting the same reverse flipping. It's because the kernel is an att kernel. Or, I should say, the kernel is reporting that I have an M2_ATT GS3...
..... There is nothing att about this kernel. Look at my sources

Thanks for letting me test, very smooth and o/cing seems nicely on par. Orientation still an issue. Sorry I took so long to get back, super freakin sick atm... will run another battery cycle or two to see how battery life is... Thanks again:beer:

Loving the speed and smoothness of this kernel but the upside down orientation is bothersome. Lol.

I second that lol... quadrant scores are nearing 6000. Once the orientation is fixed this kennel will rock

I love the speed and fluidity of this kernel. Upside down screen in landscape is a deal breaker. I watch lots of videos. I'll keep checking back to see if issue ironed out. Til then I will be anxiously waiting.

Im sorry if I'm missing something guys, but I cant tell if this is an AOSP kernel or TW based? Am I just blind? :silly:

-Also, I've heard with the Zeus kernel, that if you disable rotation it works properly....anyone try this yet?

This is for tw. And for zues, it acts as if a normal kernel except apps that rotate regardless like games or YouTube rotate wrong also.

Thanks Soap :good:

Edit: From my understanding, the rotation is an issue with compiling from Sprint source? How is the kernel compiled? What language? Not trying to step on any toes here! Just helping out if I can.

The kernel was compiled with the Verizon source which works with another version of S3. But the way the sprint S3 reads the rotation is different than Verizon and without the right S3 source, it'll continue to flip the wrong way. If you want to try and compile it yourself, head over to that thread and hit up the Github. You'll need to make the sprint edits yourself. ;)

Back on topic now. :)
