Ive got a stock rooted uk moto x 4.4.4 kitkat with xposed, what is the best custom kernel to run for better battety life

You're not going to be able to flash a kernel with a locked bootloader, which is what I'm guessing you have since you didn't mention it in your post.

Battery life depends on signal strength while on data, setup and usage. ?
