I've moved recently to the N4 and i forsee my stock stint ending soon. My first swap will be the kernel and im trying to figure out what the features of franco trinity and faux are and what sets them apart from each other. Both trinity and franco have rather simple OPs and other than reading a few 100 changelogs i cant seem to find a way to look at them.

Cheers

thats because both kernels dont believe in embellishing their ops with a bunch of magic buzzwords. they do have their own optimizations, but they dont believe in listing a bunch of "features" that really mean nothing to most people. you can always feel free to read their source, their commits. everything is listed there. but really what you have to do is try the kernels themselves, thats whats important, the user experience. only by trying them(or any kernel) will you find the kernel thats best for you, that your phone likes the best. all our phones vary, so every phone will react differently to different devices.

Yeah i get what youre saying. Ive tried reading githubs before its rather hard for me to decipher. Which is better obviously varies on your phone and usage but im just trying to look at features that set them apart from each other, unless of course they are basically doing the same things via different mothods achieving different results.

the kernels in the original development forum are all built differently, their own ways, their own optimizations. some are feature kernels, some are built to run great. but really its everything in between, they just slant one way or the other. trying them all, youll see a difference. even if some kernels sound similar, youll see theyll run differently. one thing for sure, there are no bad kernels here, they are all good. the reason i say original development is, its one thing to take whats there and add "features" to it, its another thing to make the kernel better :)
