It's official.

Install in EXKM and it works. Don't install in TWRP

OP5 -> android 10 hotfix + magisk 20.4 + Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020 -> root lost after flashing latest kernel from EXKM express install

Update: flash magisk 20.4 in twrp over 6.01 elemental kernel, and problem was solved :D

Update is available in EXKM, should fix the root situation and I rebased on the latest source.
Thanks, flashed via recovery with the aroma installer and the root is fine.
Anyway, i don't know if that's only me but the installation took about 15 minutes for some reason and still can't see the OC frequencies in EXKM even if i selected them in the aroma installer.

That's a problem with AROMA that happens occasionally, just flash again. It should only take a few seconds.

Tried 2 more times but had no luck sadly, if it can help it gets stuck at 30% (Extract:/tmp/magiskboot) and then jumps directly to (Finished!) after about 15 mins.
Haven't performed a restore of my device in a while, so it could also be some problems by my side.

Using this kernel for the first time after years of Franco Kernel.

I'm currently running it on Powersave via the EX Manager app

Is there a balanced profile or is that the default?

Are there any instructions posted for what tweaks to make and effects?

FK had a balanced profile that I just left it with that seemed to work well. I'm looking for the same with EX but also willing to learn how to get there manually.

Best thing to do is leave the default for balanced, no need to change anything.

Finally I flashed with Aroma..
What I did/
Flashed Elementals custom through EX
Kernel manager, let phone reboot and install automatically the kernel, rebooted itself,
then installed Magisk through EX kernel manager,,rebooted, all fine.!

Same here had to flash the Aroma a couple times till the overclock frequencies where visible in EXKM App. Last time i disabled touchboost, and flashed the Aroma in TWRP and they where visible. Maybe that did the trick:cool:

Will this work on custom 10 ROMs

Nope. Maybe CAF based Roms. I dunno

Hey flar2, out of curiosity, are you planning to release ElementalX for OOS 10? I've been using your kernels since the Nexus 7 (2013) and they've ALWAYS been my daily driver. I've had my OP5 since a month after launch, and she's been a trooper, so I haven't needed to upgrade, but I'm thinking about picking up a OP7T. If you're gonna stop at OOS 9 with the 5, that might be my que to pull the trigger on a 7T.

Either way, thank you for supporting the 5/5T for this long!!

Sorry for the ramble. LOVE you're work!! Thank you for everything you do for the community!!

Today i formatted my device, but still can't get OC frequencies to show, I tried to flash the kernel 3 times with aroma. Anyone knows how I can fix this?
