Forest-M-Kernel_V1

NightOwl CM13 rom seems to be now stable so I make a kernel for myself and to give more options for Note users to play with. Feeling quite satisfied with this kernel:victory:

Forest-M-Kernel! another choice of MM kernel

Credit should go to @bauner who has done the hard and excellent job with the NighOwl rom and kernel. I only make minor kernel tweaks.

Change log:
- Remove kernel debugs to reduce kernel load. Logcat is kept so that you can make log.
- OC CPU to 1600 Mhz in P (powerful) version.
- Play with different toolchains. V1 uses Uber toolchain. Will play with Hypertoolchain (to do)
- Play with GPU (to do)
- other minor tweaks

Instruction:
- Flash the kernel zip file in recovery
- Reboot, then use No-frills CPU control to set CPU frequency and desired governor/scheduler.
- Pegasusq/Row combo seems to be very good.
- Enjoy! :victory:

Downloads:

Forest-M-Kernel_V1S (standard version)

Forest-M-Kernel_V1P (OC-CPU version)

Hi. Did Mm kernel support trim? How about fast charging? Or it just for those wanting to over clock only? TQ

Oops. I forgot trim support. This is easy so will do it soon.

Edit the above post:

I was wrong. after rechecking the issue found that trim is already enabled. the problem is with lagfix it does not seem work on NightOwl CM13.

Solution is easy and better: use Trimmer from Gplay store. It also offer schedule auto trim.

Thanks to @fifthelement and @Lanchon

Update the V8T links?

Testing feedback is all good. So here are three kernels putting together in one place:

1. Forest-KK-Kernel_V8T_CM: https://mega.co.nz/#!BNBlib6Z!1OBnN-lOrZ486VydOltOh2xO4KYyLs7rGdK4o7H2O4g

2. Forest-KK-Kernel_V8T_Omni: https://mega.co.nz/#!AZZwXDqQ!LdvU6p4Y3qRwg5P2vfcLv7nU0p8hg5kpKcSsaXKLUu4

3. Forest-KK-Kernel_V8T_Slim: https://mega.co.nz/#!AIhByR4a!LoavwbC_7x0WXPNDfAiUEnTIwMzwE_NgVSf-LTgv6us

Enjoy it! :victory:
The links are down, i would love to try the latest version out but it seems the file is removed :/

Android will also trim the filesystem itself from time to time if the device is idle

New Forest-KK(cm11)-kernel_V9

Are you going to update the existing links or posting a completely new one?
New and better :victory:!

I made two versions:
- Forest-KK-kernel_V9S(standard)
- Forest-KK-kernel_V9P(Powerful)

Changelogs:
- Rebase to TW source by @bauner
- disable kernel debugs
- compile using Uber toolchain
- OC CPU to 1600Mhz in V9P version
- Other minor tweaks.

I feel happy with the new kernel versions. They are both silky smooth! :victory:

Instructions:
- flash in recovery
- Remember to use No-Frills to set correct cpu frequency, and governor/scheduler!

Thanks for your great work! I'm wondering if you will also build one for cm12.1 :D
