oh that sucks!

backup anything of value.

open it up asap! removed everything. get the mainboard out. remove the camera from the mainboard. if you can also remove the rf shields from the board. give the board a nice wash in alcohol. very gently scrub it with an old toothbrush. maybe repeat the process. also wash the edge connector (just that) of the camera in alcohol if dirty. let it completely dry.

the board has a small battery. if it is leaking, remove it. dont bust anything while removing the batt! the phone works without it.

do this asap!
So this procedure will help save my phone?

Hi, so I know this thread is pretty old now and may not get a response, but I thought I'd post a query here before making a new thread (Don't want to spam up the boards). I've got an s2 I've firmware upgraded using cm12.1S (CYANOGEN OS 12.1S V.1.0-i9100)
& my kernel version 3.0.64(3.0.64-CM-g7e7a10d) and even know it's been posted that further updates from the CM11 + would contain the fix, I seem to be suffering from these exact same symptoms as the FPBug produces & keep being pointed to this thread when researching.

I was wondering if a smarter and more versed person than I could give me some troubleshooting tips & help me figure out what this issue is, as before I moved up to lollipop my system was fine.

Thanks in advance!

yes, you are not supposed to spam old threads!
this thread is about an (obsolete) kernel you are not using so you are fully off-topic here. please post in the right thread.
