Thanks for the Update! Running fine for now. I will need to test it for some weeks to see if reboots are gone.
One question: Is it possible to add fast charging support? On my old Ace 2 it was possible with following custom kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-develop/kernel-ace2nutzer-kernel-20141027-t2920365
I have looked into adding "force fast charge" I am not sure if I will be able to implement it though. I will revisit it and who knows.

Setting SeLinux to permissive via init.d also doesn't fix the reboots for me :( I got a new log, maybe it's helpful. The reboots you @spookcity138 and others have are different to the ones I have, mine are 100% reproduceable, after 5-10 seconds, the Samsung splash screen appears and the phone cold boots :/

Interesting, I will have a look a the log and report back. It was mentioned on github that another user was having reboot issues and updating his baseband solved it. No clue if that's the issue or not.

Well,it only took a second for me to see the error:
"Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000"
Which results in a kernel panic.
The problem is I'm not so great at interpreting the backtrace.
What was the last version of the kernel that worked properly for you?

I think it was v4.0. Thanks for your quick response and patience. I will test v4.0 again tomorrow and report back then ;)

You're most welcome. Thanks for providing logs. Even if I can't fully interpret everything it makes things a lot easier. Let me know if v4.0 works for you and I will look into what possible changes it could be and hopefully we can get this sorted out.

So yesterday morning i installed V5.0 and it's working really good. In V4.0a and V4.0b i had some reboots but resetting settings helped so i didn't report it to you. In 5.0 haven't had any reboots so far. Good work. I hope you continue updating this kernel.

Error 1 when flashing V5.0 1.5Ghz version in twrp 3.1.1. Help please :) (unpacking ramdisk failed)
Most of the times I got this error, I had to flash the boot.img of the original ROM prior to install this Kernel.
If you use Magisk or other rooting solutions which temper with the boot.img you could also try to uninstall them. Most of them will revert to the previous boot.img.

Thanks a lot for reporting. I'm glad v5.0 seems to work better. The reboots were definitely related to my bad decision of changing the default HZ to 300 from 100. I also was having random reboots, but since the last build I haven't had one.

Hey! :)
What about DT2W? Would it be possible to add it in a future build?

Hey hey. DT2W as well as S2W are things that I have spent a fair bit of time on in the past...without luck. I also tried to just implement D2TW the way CurtisMj and DJSteve did. Also without much luck there. This is something I will be revisiting when I have some time.

Thank for your work spookcity138.
I use your kernel for 3 weeks. I begin with the 4.0 version. I have some random reboots, maybe 2 or 3 per week the most the time during the night, when I don't use the phone.
I installed the 5.0 version 2 hours ago, an I have already 5 reboots. I wipe the cache and dalvik after the installation. I will go back to 4.0 until I have the time to make a full clean install.

Thank you for the log. Sadly, there is nothing there that jumps out at me. I'll have a better look on my PC later. Perhaps I missed something. I also was having reboots with v4.0 and the test build 4.0a,but since reverting a couple of commits I haven't had a single reboot,so I'm unsure why you're experiencing this.
