Hi

I am on gt-i9000 SGS and have flashed new ROM with your kernel. Otherwise it is fine with some lag even though I am on EXT4 but what is really bothering me is that the email application is taking a long time between opening the email and displaying the contents. Is there anything I can do to help speed this up as this is really bothering me

Try different Email.apk, don't think it is kernel related...

Hi!
Best kernel ever! I'm still using v1.1 in JVP without problems.
Can you please to add in future releases support to sztupy's USB Host mode (OTG) driver for SGS i9000?
More info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21503469

Other kernels began to support it like Semaphore.

Thanks!

I will when modified driver reaches its final version.

bnl works only for sms / mail / call...
there is possibility to active for all apps that has led notification?
thank you

You have to modify all of those apps so....

Lukiqq,

Would it be possible to put back the UV feature? The UV is working great for me in your previous kernals. I was able to lengthen the battery life by half a day (in standby mode).

Many thanks for your great work!

thumbs up for 341 ram if XXJVU can be unleashed.

By the way there are still very very very few, very very slightly green bands on low brightness level.
It really doesn't matter much other than graphical annoyance for a book reader in the midnight (screen filter is set around 20%~30% ,with minimun brightness level,as for your reference).

And the kernel is as great as always!:D

I am currently running a "stock" I9000 Gingerbread 2.3.6 rom on my Samsung Captivate (U.S.version) and it is running pretty smooth.
I have to use Xcaliburinhand's reoriented kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042543&highlight=reoriented) in order to get my phone to rotate properly. Otherwise, it rotates when it's not supposed to.
I would like to try your kernel as I understand it is pretty good, but I'm afraid I would have the "rotate" problem that XCal's kernel fixes for me.
Do you know if anyone has tried your kernel on a Captivate and if they had any rotational problems?

Well, you probally read about Megaupload and the fear of other sharing sites like filesonic. I think thats the reason why the files are down.

Why we do not use like Pirate Bay, whos original pure idea was just sharing files. OK, it will become a little slower with magnet mechanism as early pure torrent tracker idea, but better than nothing.

I red from Galaxian ROM thread that newest V5 ROM have: "Galaxian kernel 1.2 with some minor changes", but cannot find anywhere this new v1.2 kernel.

My current ROM is the JVU 'ICS Value Pack' with this Galaxian v1.1 kernel and I am almost happy; no finnish Samsung keyboard (read: no all letters we need to writing) and those SwiftKey X, Go Keyboard, Hackers Keyboard etc. are laggy and forced XT9 system. And rooted and EXT4ed - of course.

I think the developer of this Galaxian kernel waste too much with Samsung TouchWzz Launcer v4. It is buggy, slowly and ugly. First thing I got my Samsung Galaxy S was change it to Laucher Pro Plus; later to ADWLauncher EX. ;-)

I thought I read somewhere Lukiqq said that new kernel will be included in the rom first
and Touchwiz4 is reverted to tw3 since Galaxian(ROM)V2, with mods like disable scrolling cache.

Arguments invalid lol.

I don't know what the problem is but most recent Galaxian kernel 1.2 is not available as standalone version yet :)

Yep, installed your Galaxian ROM v5 and it included the newest v1.2 kernel. Thank you master.

If your hard work with TouchWizz launcher helps with better stock application work like Media Player, Contacts etc., your work is wellcome. I didn't know or understand early that TouchWizz is behind all this. Sorry.

    Why Galaxian?

    • Based on latest source from Samsung Open Source Release Center and always latest initramfs
    • 344MB RAM memory without side effects like loosing HD capabilities
    • EXT4 and RFS support with autodetection
    • ClockWorkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5
    • Ondemand governor with tweaked up/down scaling
    • Voodoo Sound v10
    • Slightly increased charging current limits for both AC and USB charging modes
    • Improved touch sensitivity
    • Front camera is working (no snapshot when recording support)
    • Video calls are working
    • Modules compiled with -O2 flags
    • LZMA kernel compression, GZIP initramfs compression
    • Low Memory Killer levels are just perfect
    • Unbelivable colors and sharpness
    • Brightness levels are now fixed (no more red tint on each)
    • Fixed MDNIE profiles (outdoor mode can now work together with selected color temperature).
    • Light sensor driver fine tuned
    • WiFi driver buffer is now bigger
    • New jpeg compression mode from Galaxy TAB
    • Read A Head parameter increased to 512KB
    • BLN support
    • Optimized compile flags
    • CPU clock speed switch is now faster
    • Custom bootanimations support! just name yours as sanim.zip and place in /system/media/
    • Minor tweaks

Last version of GalaxianEE is now ready and will be uploaded soon. USB tethering problems (disconections) has been fixed. Also voltage table of the CPU, OLED, RAM has beed adjusted for energy saving purposes. Last version is stable as stock kernel is. GT version will be uploaded probably today. Galaxian project will be suspended for some time because of personal reasons.

    EDIT:

GalaxianEE is now ready, look @1st post.

Sad, just sad. There is no one here who personally knows me, you don't know my education progress and occupation so I can stay calm because you throwing things which are simply not belongs to my person :) Maybe I'm not programmer, I do not work for Samsung or any big company but I know some things and you can't call my product like a "mix" from other great devs work, because that is what you used to call GPL. Do you know what GPL stands for? It was made to help people by giving them sources of already made things to avoid them doing the same thing twice when it is already done. So every kernel here is like a "mix" of the best involved things till now. I do not force anyone to use Galaxian, if you think it may be harmful for some other devices and you can prove it - which is very important, simply post it here and explain without flaming. Some of you are still in middleage where by announce of something new/sometimes revolutionary you could be killed. And you are "trying to save lifes" here? I expects medics or firefighters to save my life, not you. Im out of words now, and just sad. Probably working idea of porting SGS2 framebuffer driver which eliminates irritating 1px green line on the top-left side of the screen is also "mad and could be potencially dangerous", ehh.
