Have you looked a few pages back?I wanted to test this kernel, but after install, my Moto won't boot to system/recovery (kind of loop). I already flashed sbf 2 or 3 times and still the same issue.
This is how I did it:
1. Wipe (factory reset/cache,system,data...).
2. Flash 07.05 build+gapps for defy.
Anyway, thank you Quarx for continuing this project. It looks very promising![]()
Same for green lens like before build?New test build (not for daily use!)

Yea i saw that, too. Made me wonder: What are the advantages? Just to make everything future proof or are there functions that are needed for kitkat as well?Quarx2k pushed to android-3.10 at Quarx2k/jordan-kernel
Initial Defy support, uart works
mainly future proofing. even the latest nexus devices have 3.4 onlyYea i saw that, too. Made me wonder: What are the advantages? Just to make everything future proof or are there functions that are needed for kitkat as well?
I read that Google made a lot of 3.14 commits, so it could also happen that the next Android versions gets the latest available Linux kernel at release for the first time.mainly future proofing. even the latest nexus devices have 3.4 only
But google marked the common 3.10 kernel as stable so you can expect that new nexus devices with android 4.5/5.0 will run a 3.10 kernel.
Another reason is to have a more clean kernel without all the useless omapzoom changes(quarx's 3.10 is based on aosp/mainstream).
I don't think so because 3.14 is still marked as experimental(like 3.8 and 3.9 were in past)I read that Google made a lot of 3.14 commits, so it could also happen that the next Android versions gets the latest available Linux kernel at release for the first time.
