To everyone with deadline on m1- you need to clear app data and reboot for the app to chanfe to the kernels default.

I rid that two times now, it clear all of my settings like color voltages and vibration but deadline is still on! It has always worked when I've tried it before.

I'm on r102, conservative, row UV everything -150.... And my battery just refuses to die!!! Anymore paid apps from you Franco? I think I've bought all of them just to show appreciation (even if I don't use them)

Seriously I think you should just create an app specifically just for donations....

I don't think that would be fair to the users, would be very greedy and Scrooge McDuck like behavior :)

Thanks for the nice words!

Congrats on stable version 1. The best kernel for N4. I am really very happy to use your kernel and your kernel app.
Now. I have a question. Please don't ask my why but is it possible to have all cores up all the time? What I can do to bring all 4 cores up on line and live them on. Is there a easy way to do that? Tnx

Comparing to r102 it fixes the notification bar dropping after unlocking (thanks viking37 for giving me better values for the touch filter)
Hi,

Thank you very much! ;) and you're welcome ;)
Glad I could help in something :)

A+ :)

turn off mpdecision... change your governor to performance

clear the app, don't enter the app again. Clear the app, then the app automatically closes right? then reboot. don't clear app and open it again. Clear the app, app closes, Reboot. or change it manually.

I wish there is an option for it so I don't need to use another app loaded with 101 thing I don't really need...
Funny. Did u ever use francos test kernels that were 4 cores on all the time? If not 4 cores on all the time proved to be slower than dual and hot plugged with the majority here. Not sure what ur trying to achieve but if its speed thsts not the way to get it, that guys suggestion of performance gov alone probably give you better results than all 4 on

Another app wouldn't be able to do that because it's not a matter of simple toggle included in the app. Franco once said that his long term goal is to have an option to turn off mpdecisions but for now it's not a priority.

I'd also be happy to see an option to force all cores on, so let's just wait and see where the kernel is heading.

It improves some heavy games' performance. Also performance governor is a no-go for gaming. It'll just heat your phone very quickly and cause thermal throttling.

Re: [KERNEL][GPL][N4] franco.Kernel - r102

Running Milestone 1 (thanks Franco!) and my device is hopping all around in frequencies, while idle, for no particular reason, as far as I can tell. I have no background apps open, and I've tested it on stock voltages.

Any particular reason why this is happening?

Thanks!

"Please don't ask me why" that is how I started my question. Okay, if you really like to know.
My point is smoothness not speed. With r93 there was option to put on line all 4 cores. Back then I tested both ways. What I find out is this. With hot plug I get lag from time to time that first moment until other cores kicks in. With all 4 on line I never get that plus there is no differences in battery life. All 4 cores on line all the time with interactive gov. will be smooth with no lag and will not effect battery life.
I think the reason for that is 4 cores will keep 384 mhz in 99% while hot plug will rise up to 1.5 ghz together with voltages. I get that information from CPU spy. In short, low frequency low voltages max is possible is the best what you can do for you device. Frequency and voltages are the main factor in whole story.
Anyhow I really don't need you to agree with me. ;)
