Ya its not something I would personally do because of those reasons. But throwing out ideas for himAnother app wouldn't be able to do that because it's not a matter of simple toggle included in the app. Franco once said that his long term goal is to have an option to turn off mpdecisions but for now it's not a priority.
I'd also be happy to see an option to force all cores on, so let's just wait and see where the kernel is heading.
It improves some heavy games' performance. Also performance governor is a no-go for gaming. It'll just heat your phone very quickly and cause thermal throttling.
U can try faux clock app to turn off the mpdecision"Please don't ask me why" that is how I started my question. Okay, if you really like to know.
My point is smoothness not speed. With r93 there was option to put on line all 4 cores. Back then I tested both ways. What I find out is this. With hot plug I get lag from time to time that first moment until other cores kicks in. With all 4 on line I never get that plus there is no differences in battery life. All 4 cores on line all the time with interactive gov. will be smooth with no lag and will not effect battery life.
I think the reason for that is 4 cores will keep 384 mhz in 99% while hot plug will rise up to 1.5 ghz together with voltages. I get that information from CPU spy. In short, low frequency low voltages max is possible is the best what you can do for you device. Frequency and voltages are the main factor in whole story.
Anyhow I really don't need you to agree with me.![]()
Oops I meant like a standalone app just for donations alone... Not meaning your current app to be made a strictly paid version.....I don't think that would be fair to the users, would be very greedy and Scrooge McDuck like behavior
Thanks for the nice words!
Just change yourself manually, whats the big deal? :good:
Yea its real smooth and snappier with mpdecision off wowU can try faux clock app to turn off the mpdecision

He got rid of all that so trying to duplicate on new version's makes no sense and isnt possible. But good luck"Please don't ask me why" that is how I started my question. Okay, if you really like to know.

Nice. I'm pulling 4 hours screen on with Facebook and messaging.Stock ROM - Franco nightly 102
My usage:
Auto brightness with WiFi
Stock CPU freq / interactive / -100mv
200mb data download
30mins gaming
Lots of Facebook (including a a few photo uploads), messenger and G+
4 gaming screenshots taken
Little bit of browsing
Full carbon backup (app+data) including full box upload.
Few personal photos taken (for walking dead app - fun!)
And finally, a couple YouTube videos watched.
Hahaha![]()

That is my point. I don't really need another app with 101 option I don't need. Running 2 kernel apps in the same time will just produce more problems and conflicts. One extra ON/OFF switch in Francko kernel app should not be a problem.U can try faux clock app to turn off the mpdecision

+1Running Milestone 1 (thanks Franco!) and my device is hopping all around in frequencies, while idle, for no particular reason, as far as I can tell. I have no background apps open, and I've tested it on stock voltages.
Any particular reason why this is happening?
Thanks!
Again, placebo. MPdecision only online/offline cores. When you disable that if you had for example 2 cores offline they will stay offline forever. Same for online.Yea its real smooth and snappier with mpdecision off wow

Yep, just noticed it too.app 8.9.2 reached market
102 was great for battery and i hope M1 will be the same
...but can we have an option for hot plug? Personally I will go will 4 cores all the time. I am sure you know how to do it. Even if is restart needed that is excellent.Again, placebo. Oh didnt know that for some reason it seems snappier maybe is cause i rebooted idk but how can we turn on allcores?Again, placebo. MPdecision only online/offline cores. When you disable that if you had for example 2 cores offline they will stay offline forever. Same for online.
