Re: [KERNEL][GPL][N4] franco.Kernel - r102 | M1

Running Milestone 1 (thanks Franco!) and my device is hopping all around in frequencies, while idle, for no particular reason, as far as I can tell. I have no background apps open, and I've tested it on stock voltages.

Any particular reason why this is happening?
Same behavior with m1 on my device.

Hi Franco..
I'm using m1 now. mpdecision is acting strange on me.
for once normal, but after that it stayed 1026 all the time based on device monitor on ur app also with cpu spy.
then I clear app data n reboot it fix for a moment and then act like that again.
then I tried put min freq to 384, the resul it wont go into deep sleep.
so I install faux clock for deactivate then activate mpdecision... now it worked
hmm.. so the conclution is.. have to put 2 app together. :D
lucky I have both of the app of the great ( which is both born on february ( which also are a friend like apple & samsung )) nexus 4 developer

Franco please don't revert headphone gain functionality in future versions of the kernel, it is one of THE features of the kernel.

Reason I'm requesting is because, couldn't find the gain settings in milestone. Reverted back to 102.

Thank you Franco, you're man.

Re: [KERNEL][GPL][N4] franco.Kernel - r102 | M1

Is difficult to know if it's happening only looking to the global CPU usage. I think that it's better to use franco's app device monitor option and look if it's changing the frecuencies while is idle.
I just checked that out for 20-30 seconds . it stayed on 384 for pretty much all of it . sometimes flicking to 1512 for a split second

Re: [KERNEL][GPL][N4] franco.Kernel - r102 | M1

Hi all, I use this Kernel since a long time and I'm reeeeally happy with it!

But now I've got a problem. I'm here to ask you if it can be kernel related.

My battery is very strange, it doesn't want to charge to 100%. A screenshot can explain better : (see attachement) (with wall charger)

Is someone already get this problem?

Sorry for my english, thanks in advance :)

Maybe some of you guys need to uninstall app and install the latest one then install m1?

I dunno it works fine for me, all cores are not online, core 1 is and core 2 comes on like normally if needed while just using the phone

Edit: Nvm i see that the problem is actually the cpu0 freq moving while idle

Their issue is not all cores being online, but mostly cpu0 constantly moving from low to high frequency when the phone is idle, with little load.

It is not kernel related. You can try to delete your battery stats using your custom recovery or using this app.

Cannot be explained better. Thanks :)

BTW: what's the default i/o scheduler for M1? In my device it is deadline but some people reports row in another forum...

I synced ROW with the latest version from CAF and it felt good (didn't do any real tests, just feeling).

Cannot be explained better. Thanks :)
