My opinion is I paid the app because I want to support Franco. He made a very good job with all of the nexus family. It's a normal thing he updates N5 kernel first it's the newest nexus. We got 203 updates since N4 is available. I can't get people who crying for updates. I am waiting for it too but don't want to hurry the dev. He is doing the updates for free. Yes he made an app wich has free and paid version so yes he got money for his work with the FKU but who cares he made his business. Everybody has the same chance.

Thank you Francisco Franco! I really appreciate your work.

PS: stay on topic ;)

A couple of questions...

I saw in the OP that CM is not supported. Currently I am on CM11, is there a recommended ROM to start with? Omnirom? SlimKat? PA? Something else?

If all goes to hell in a handbasket, will restoring a nandroid backup fix everything? Or is there some other step I should take?

Thanks so much

Personally I would recommend Purity Rom.
Lot's of customisaions and enormous stability! Not a single bug I am aware of.

Yes resotring from a Nand will fix everything. If it comes hard to hard flashing G Factory Image from their website will fix your device so you can start from scratch!

Hi guys! Do you think it would be a good idea to get the stock colours with the kernel? I know that we have a stock profile in fku, but that seems a 4.2.2 profile to me.. Looking forward to seeing your response and franco's one?

Why is EVERYONE mentioning 4.2.2 constantly?
Even on the Nexus 5 threads (and N5 oldest android version is 4.4, it never had 4.3 or 4.2).
Over and over I see 4.2.2 mentioned :)
As if its in autocorrect or something!

Also, it has nothing to do with the kernel itself. Please refer to the proper section. You will find your answers there.

What's the section I should refer to? I'm talking about the colour profile that gets applied when you flash franco kernel. Also that was not a typo, I really meant the it reminds me of the 4.2.2 colours :)

So what if he promised an update. Francisco doesn't owe anyone anything. Neither does he have to develop neither does he need to address anything.

If you paid for his app thats on YOU.
No one pointed a gun on your head and made you buy it.

Stop being so spoiled. If we get an update, lucky us. If not, we had a good run.

Wanna complain more?
Go build your own kernel as stable as this.

A lot of XDA users feel the need to demand or to act as Francisco needs to do something or owe us something The answer is no. Flash 203 and get along with your life. Or flash another kernel.

Stop whining.

Really sad to read some posts after all the work I put on this device for longer than an year. Anyway here's r204 that I've been working on for a while...

* Introduce a new bunch of tunables for my Hotplug driver and squash all code improvements from Hammerhead's version
* Uses a power efficient system workqueue to allow the cores to stay longer times on idle
* Several key subsystems are now using a newer and more advanced kernel thread infrastructure to allow cores to allow for better power savings
* Improved thermal throttle code
* Merged all upstream 3.4.y patches
* Merged misc patches

Have fun.

@franciscofranco I can only imagine how you must feel reading all those complaints and rants about an updated kernel release. I am only one voice but I would like to thank you for every release you have built for the nexus 4. You've done more than expected for us given the age of our device. Thank you for giving us the support we truly don't deserve. Happy flashing everyone.
