I had a question and hopefully someone here knows, I am using stock ROM and installed this kernel last night. Every time I plug in a USB even for a second it resets my battery timer. Is there any way to get it to go back to what it was before? I find this rather annoying, but if it can't be changed I guess I'll live with it.

I do not believe there is anything that can be done. When you plug in the USB the phone starts to charge. Android resets the battery info because it will be different because of the charge on the battery. You will have to get a app that is like betterbatterystats. Thats the name of it in the play store. There is a option on that to give you info based on last boot. It also gives other options as well.

Question, for r13 do we need to use echo 1 > /sys/module/msm_otg/parameters/fast_charge to activate fast charge or is it activated by default?

Fast charge is probably disabled by default. At least that's how it is for me when I flashes. You can also toggle fast charge using francos app, use a file manager and open the file if it's 0 then it's off by default. Not that difficult

R13 has been the best for me. It is super smooth with no lag and the most important is that the battery seems to be a lot better. 3hrs off the charger, 30 min screen on and 15 min of voice calls and still at 90%(wifi off). My device was getting warm on previous builds but hasn't gotten warm at all since flashing R13. Great job man!

You have to type the command in terminal or buy his app to toggle it on and off.

How to Enable Fast Charge without the app

adb root or remount
adb shell
Add USB Fast Charge - to enable: echo 1 > /sys/module/msm_otg/parameters/fast_charge
and that is it.

I don't have the app and since I normally use a different kernel I have no intention of buying the app in the near future unless I stay on this kernel (so far it has become my preferred as I'm able to make my phone stick to the lowest frequency), so for those who do not have the app either, enjoy!

Trickster mod is a good free application that most people use but it isn't fully supported on this kernel but it might. Not sure if it supports fast charge for the n4

Its under Custom Kernel Settings on the latest update to his app.

version 9 is working so well for me i didn't even want to update, but sounds like 13 is even better.. cant wait to try it. amazing work francisco!

R12 and r13 have been flawless. Using francos interactive setting and 384-12XX. No lag what so ever and scrolling is smooth as can be. I don't play games really just surf and listen to music.

Plz use the search button about this. Franco has already said why he is not allowing UVing right now on the kernel. Asking the question over and over again is only going to piss him off.

mines deep sleep. you have a bad app causing it to wakelock? use betterbatterystats to find out which app it is.

After further though I remembered having downloaded and installing the latest CM10 release. I didn't do a dirty flash, but I did not wipe dalvik cache after restoring my apps via backup, leading me to think that it had something to do with it.
