Any word on a new update? I find the kernel works great but for some reason benchmarks are a ton better with the stock and overclocked settings...
So? It's the fastest Android device on the market. What else do you need to know?

Guys, can we work on etiquette? @flar2 is maintaining multiple kernels and apps for multiple devices for free. Asking for ETAs is slightly rude. Not calling anyone out or trying to start a fight, but the updates come when the updates come.

Thanks for this amazing kernel. Use it on both of my Nexuses. (or Nexi maybe?)

You just did when you quoted the text.[emoji6]

I really don't see why asking for an update after some time of no activity is considered slightly rude and has anything to do with etiquette. [emoji28]

Anyway I love your kernel flar2! Been using it since you started elemX kernel for the N5. Looking forward to having the same experience with the N9 as well! [emoji106] Happy new year!!!

Ouch...
Usually everyone wants to know of the next update or when it'll be... I know flar is quite busy with other devices. I wasn't being picky or impatient... Just wondered when the next update would be...

Well for some reason after flashing the kernel say 5-6 times... A delvik and cache wipe is always good to do. Geekbench 3 scores are about 200 points below what I expect but after my cooling mod it's working quite nice

How is the kernel doing with battery life? Especially in terms of browsing and playing. Does it heat up and run to maximum as it does on stock?? Or is it more efficient? Oooor has it not been changed yet? :) thx for your answers in advance.

Btw: love elementalx on my N5. Battery monster

For me the battery lasts slightly longer and have significantly less heat; I underclocked by 100 mhz.

UPDATE!!!!

For this update, I went back to the Google toolchain. Also grabbed the dm-crypt updates and optimizations from faux. Added 2A charging, if you have a 2A charger. It will charge normally with the stock charger. And finally, added SIO and FIOPS i/o schedulers.

Download:
ElementalX-N9-0.09 (beta)

Changes:
-add 2A charging
-various fixes and optimizations
-update dm-crypt
-add SIO and FIOPS schedulers
-build with Google GCC 4.9 toolchain

Seems to be running very well and I love the 2A charging. It charges noticeably faster on my 3A charger, but does not seem to be heating up the battery any more than the standard 1.5A. Thanks for the update!

What scheduler do you recommend on the Nexus 9?

I know fiops was designed for flash memory. I usually go for that if that's an option
