Scratch that - forgot that Elementalx uses the current ramdisk, so it's safe to flash. Though you could notice an occasional bug here and there.It actually works fine on 5.1. I just flashed it through recovery and no issues at all.

Flash the unencrypted boot image via fastboot then format user data (factory reset) boot into recovery and flash the kernel before booting up initially. Some Roms or kernels will force the encryption so that's why I do it immediatelyI see that in the OP post it says that force encryption is turned off, but when I go to settings it still says my tablet is encrypted. A quick google search shows me that after flashing the unencrypted image im supposed to factory reset my tablet. Is this the correct way of unencrypting my tablet or am I missing something?
I've had this kernel since day 2. All I did today was format data in TWRP and then the factory reset. When I rebooted it was not encrypted.I see that in the OP post it says that force encryption is turned off, but when I go to settings it still says my tablet is encrypted. What ROM are you onI tried the flashing of this kernal and factory reset and data reset and nothing I'm still encrypted. Not sure what's left.
