Ugh, seems like we are going to have to pay again...
Sorry, but Google removed all access to the old app. You can keep using the old one if you want. Or get the new one, which I've been working on nonstop, three hours of sleep for the past month, to make sure it's a worthwhile purchase.

Also, guys, please no more complaints about having to pay $3.99 for the app. I've been getting non stop hatemail for the past month. You get the kernel for free, I spend 30-40 hours per week on development on top of my family responsibilities, baseball, and a full time job. The new app is awesome and I've worked extremely hard to make sure it's a worthwhile purchase.

Can't find the app in the Playstore? Could you give the Playstore link... Thanks!

fastboot dirty flashed lollipop 5.1.1 (with boot, system and vendor images), entered twrp recovery and wiped cache and dalvik, then flashed supersu and elementalx..
while the elementalx configuration screens went smoothly, the last step (to flash and apply settings) lasted more than 15 minutes with a "Please Wait.." message in the middle of the screen.. tapping the screen had no effect, but after more than 15 minutes it suddenly disappeared and the screen flickered a few times and returned to twrp..
i think the msg should be success but it just flickered too fast and i couldnt read it thoroughly..

anyway now the n9 seems to be fine running at 5.1.1 with elementalx kernel..

[edit]
using latest twrp v2.8.6.0..

@flar2 certainly wasn't exhibiting any ill will towards you for having to buy the app again, more general disdain over it being removed in the first place.

Hell, there is an app on Play that can change SELinux from enforcing to permissive with a long press, and that's been around since the 4.3 days. I can say from extensive use that the original app was worth well over the $3.99 price tag, and I won't hesitate to purchase/install the newer version if and when I move back to ElementalX.

I've always supported your work, and will continue to do so. The community needs more devs that are committed as you are. Cheers.

While I don't have a lot of money I will definitely pay and test if you need it... I have several devices that I use your kernel on... Thanks for the hard work...

i read in elementalx.conf that "/etc/init.d/99elementalx" must be executed as root, however, i couldnt find the file in /etc/init.d/..
the file could be found in my n5 with elementalx..

are these normal?

I made a slight change. init.d was sometimes unreliable, so the scipt was moved to ramdisk.

You will see it in your system as /sbin/elementalx.sh
