I've tested BFS on other devices and found no improvement. In fact, I found the opposite. Plus we introduce the possibility of instability by changing one of the most integral parts of the kernel.
Fair enough! Thanks :)

BTW, if it wasn't for your kernel I would've returned the N9. Your work is truly appreciated, both the kernel and app :)

Anyone else notice popping noises when playing music from headphones? I'm using stock rom and elementalx... Spotify and Pandora both suffering from this popping noise through the headphones...

Ended up flashing back to the stock kernel. 0 issues now. Must either be an issue with the flash process or the kernel itself. I noticed that elementx down clocks to 203mhz and the new stock kernel down clocks to 510mhz. I wonder if that could have something to do with it. I noticed no improvement in benchmark scores with elementalx now... Wonder if there's additional optimization needed now with the new kernel?

Try with the higher min freq, that might be why they increased it on stock. Otherwise, I don't touch sound.

Does CPU hotplugging consume more battery? Also, In elementalx section the app says me there's an update, but for the app or for the kernel?
I don't think the hotplugging makes a difference.

The update is for the kernel

Too expensive, I think

Nexus 7 was very popular, but only $200
my n72013 got water damage and stopped working, i've done all the remedies online but nothing.
and to be honest, n9 is way too chunky for a college student. if i could get my n7 to work, i'd return the n9 :(

Now that the carriers are pumping them (well at least in Canada) you should hopefully, see some additional development.
Im on Rogers, got the LTE model, am really pumped to see Elemental here, the N7 version was spectacular!

I've been unable to play Dungeon Hunter 5 on my N9, it eventually ends up on nova launcher during loading. Tracked it down to ElementalX late last night. Runs fine with a modified stock kernel or CM's default kernel.

Since this kernel supports more filesystems, It would be quite handy to complement it by an option to mount OTG drives in the ElementalX app.

I use stickmount but I'm not a fan, really!!

Hope you give this a consideration!!

@flar2

Just had a look at logcat, and found a flud of this message:

05-30 19:24:39.317 E/FlounderPowerHAL(545): Error writing to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/interactive/boostpulse: No such device

That's just because we're not using interactive
I tired switching to interactive in the ex app to see what happens, but it's the same. I even get an occasional io error message where the boostpulse value should go (in the app).

It's really annoying because the error message is fludding the log at an outrageous rate making it extremely hard to debug anything else.
