So nobody to comment ? Not I even the dev of this nice kernel !?
Well OK I did not bought your app .... but, I would have think more people would be curious to know!

To report back after a full 24h of use : everything works nicely. Well, not as smooth as with default settings, but I have had absolutely no notable lags, just few shutter.
The best part is that I have 4h of SOT (browsing, email, video, kiosque, ...) and still have 43% left of battery. For the same SOT with default settings and a similar usage I had 10% left yesterday!
This is a freaking 33% difference!

So which settings are you using exactly? I'm used to tuning kernels, been doing that ever since my first android device, but I don't have the time to do that on my mom's Nexus 9, and she's getting only around 3h SOT with webbrowsing and slight gaming (angry birds mostly).

Which setting would I use, permissive or non-permissive for Craigs Marshmallicious ROM if I wanted to use his systemless rooting? Or does permissiveness have nothing to do with that?

Maybe I should be asking is this kernel compatible with sytemless rooting?

Here are two options I tried.
The first is based on interactive governor with Fire-Ice kernel values. It is very battery friendly and works well but the device is less snappy. CPU freq ram less. I m sure we can do better with a similar battery life

I m now testing elementalX governor (because it may work better with this kernel!). I like the followings settings. They are clearly more battery friendly than default, and the devices is very snappy and smooth. CPU freq still ram a lot, but it may this helps tasks to finish faster thus using less battery (well I try to convince me ...). Anyways, for a first cycle, I am at 5h SOT with 20% battery left, not that bad!

NB : I have air plane mode activate to turn off cell network that I do not currently use. Wifi and NFC are activated.

@flar2
Thanks for your hard work!

To make things short. Dirty unicorns implemented led support for our n9. Any chance you could add this to your kernel? :)
I flashed your kernel and lost led functionality unfortunately.

With kind regards.

Tried the systemless method on encrypted device, supersu says i have no libs installed  Has anyone got it to work? Or is it better to stick to traditional su for now?
From what I understand, for system-less root, you have to use superuser or a late version of SuperSU (2.56 I think, but not both at the same time).
Have a look to marshmallicious rom thread. I can not tell you more ... but I plan to try it when I will have the occasion

Stuck at boot?

Has anyone else had the issue where the nexus 9 LTE version will get stuck on the android boot animation? Tried waiting approx 5 mins but just stayed there.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Using pure nexus ROM and flashing SuperSU 2.52 manually.

I m still on stock rom with this kernel on a lte device, SElinux enforcing and it is rock solid.
Does pure nexus run properly before flashing this kernel ?
Very curious to know if you manage to flash this kernel on pure nexus as I plan to install this rom when I will have time!

Using this kernel and running great on Pure Nexus ROM.

Just make sure to uncheck the "Enforcing" option during installation.

Couple of questions on the kernel. Is zram an actual zram, where a part of ram partition is compressed, or is it Swap (as disk info calls it) which uses the hard drive? Also, is there a way to lower the crazy Gpu input boost?
