Easier said than done though when you can't get root in the first place on the device!@flar2As TWRP is not working properly on encrypted Nexus 9 ( N-DP2), the easiest method to Flash it, is to use Chainfire's FlashFire app.
My TWRP comes up straight away now that I set a pin, although I still have to hit the cancel button due to not being able to decrypt. In either case, just installed this latest NP2 kernel and the device failed to boot. Didn't even make it to the part where it asks me to enter my pin to continue booting. Had to revert back to the original boot image that came with the rom and it booted fine.TWRP will attempt to start several times and then it will work.
Use Chainfire's CFAR Method to root your device.Easier said than done though when you can't get root in the first place on the device!
Thanks I'm aware of that, but as it is not working properly, I put stock recovery back on my device.TWRP will attempt to start several times and then it will work.
Just leave it for a minute.
You won't be able to access your sdcard if it is encrypted
Doesn't work. Same thing, stuck on the boot animation. He hasn't updated the CFAR for NP2, its still NP1, so may well be the included boot image doesn't work with this version.Use Chainfire's CFAR Method to root your device..
Strange that it didn't work.Doesn't work. Same thing, stuck on the boot animation. He hasn't updated the CFAR for NP2, its still NP1, so may well be the included boot image doesn't work with this version.
It might because I completely wiped my device and flashed the DP2 image from scratch? (will keep in mind Flashfire next time - paid for it, may as well use it!) I have to say though that DP2 stock flies!! Its as smooth as butter, just a shame I can't seem to get root in order that I can change the icons in Google Now Launcher, but I can live with it. (and that's really all I want root for, oh, and the advanced reboot menu of course!)I used flashfire to flash N-DP2 from 6.0.1 and it rooted my device in the process. Flashfire is still using the same root process from NP1.
Keep toggling the set at boot on and off till it sticks.Hi, I would like to change the amount of memory zram uses I found the settings in fstab.flounder and fstab.flounder64 '/dev/block/zram0 none swap defaults zramsize=533413200,notrim' but although I change the value for zramsize the new size is ignored and on reboot the size in fstab files is back to default 500mb, is there another config that needs to be changed to change zram size.? Thanks.

Sorry. I assumed you have kernel adiutor installed. Thats the app you use to toggle it.Did not understand what you meant by keep toggling setting on boot, can you please explain how to change the memory size of zram as I previously explained the values in fstab are reset back to default on reboot and zram size always remains at 500mb want to change it to 400mb or less. Thanks
