Since I was updating the base to .14 anyway I fixed some bugs in the original HTC code which could lead to a "stuck"/"frozen" mobile connection. (at least in theory)

yep i have seen that one but to be honest i am a person who is verry unlucky with those kind of things
for instance with the 0.4 i am the only one wich had a heated device:s
so ill give 0.4 another shot as im home now and have my computer next to me to make logcat if nessacary.
in the end im still curious why it happend to me
also im beta tester of coredroid and i mostly have problems others dont have although i fully whiped(manually and with zip)
think its my luck i get back from the devices when i stopped cooking wm.
they dont like me anymore

Well actually, if its a kernel issue I would like to see the kmsg too
Btw: You can do that from your phone. Open ConnectBot or whatever Terminal App you use and do this:
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt
cat /proc/kmsg > /sdcard/kmsg.txt

right now i have changed kernel for be able to reboot into cm7...if i write those commands on terminal and i give to you that logcat is it right for you even if i have a different kernel?

Reporting. So far still have not seen any problem. Mobile network works like usual,still somehow connection freezes here and there a little. Device does feel a little warmer than when used with kernel v0.4. The rest, running fine. Will report in further after a day use tomorrow. After 1 say use with IC 2.4.5-2 with v0.4,i had my mobile connection on nonstop,normal syncing and with plenty of use in whatsapp and several calls and used it to listen music plus watched a 1hour 28mins movie,and still left with about 35% when i got home at 11pm (unplugged at 8.30am). I am using anker battery. Will report on battery use by tomorrow. Gotta sleep now or i m gona be like a walking zombie at work tomorrow. Thanks pshow. Over and out.

hmmm still getting warm within 5 min of use only browsing xda a little,
less warm then it did this morning though
i made the two files hope its good
turned it on from terminal and then turned screen off
hope you see anything strange in there and i didnt waste youre time

Nope, you should do something else (since you can't access your phone while bootlooping)

Flash Bricked on your cm
Boot it
when display goes blank after splash remove bat
Insert bat and enter cwm, flash bootable kernel
post this file: /proc/last_kmsg

Perhaps I can make some sense out of that

Exactly my point of view.
Since we need to use our phones everyday and rely on its stability, it's always a pain in the ass if someone prefers some fancy stuff > stability... (no one meant in particular)

* Updated Kernel base to 2.6.35.14
( 247 changed files with 1,846 additions and 754 deletions )
* Tweaked preemptive settings
* Added NTFS support
* Added Userspace driven configuration filesystem
* Updated Wifi driver
* Improved Mobile Connection
* Updated USB driver

There will be no first post entry and no support for this test kernel. It's the very first build after applying those changes. Since some of these are massive changes it needs time to prove its stability / performance.

If you want to help me test that, go ahead! But don't ***** about xyz is not working why and how can you fix that. Just say what is not working, and if it's important for you revert back to latest stable.
