i have mi4w (16gb 3gb ram sony camera) r3 kernel works for my device instead r4 no, i have black screen after boot logo with r4 kernel(device logo not rom logo). I have to hold down the power button for more than 10 sec. to unlock the phone (device hard crash). I followed the instructions for installation( no wipe and clean install in miui and cm 12,1).
I hope you will fix this problem! if you need a kernel testers. I volunteer.

R5 is around the corner so just keep calm n wait for it 
Sorry for being repetitive. I am on cm 12.1 12th November nightly build. Standby drain is horrible with around 20% overnight, tried wakelock detector and Google app seems to be the biggest sucker. I am thinking it's more to with the kernel, would this kernel help in standby mode being acceptable..

I wanted to try this kernel (R4), tried both flashing along with the ROM and flashing after the ROM first boot.
In both cases I got a black screen after MI logo disappeared.
Using official CM12.1 latest nightly + OpenGapps + FM fix + Xposed v75
I guess I have to wait for R5 to fix this issue and afterwards I can try it out. Hopefully it will be soon

Well the thread title says it does support, but real feedback comes from users. I'm not using mm at the moment.
I think either way it doesn't matter because according to what I read yesterday, the ROM is still buggy a lot and not usable as a daily driver, so I wonder why even trying GK on it? Maybe outta curiosity, at most. I'd rather wait for MM to reach some more reasonable progress and then we can start debating about some real support, until then, it might or might not work, depending on the mood of the ROM
