Custom, the word says it all, custom kernels provide a lot more cpu governers, to control the processing the way we want to, for battery vs performance ratio, some are good for battery, some are performance oriented. Some give you handy features like dt2w and s2w.The install fails when zip signature verification is on. Is this supposed to happen, if so why?
I am a TOTAL noob on using custom kernels. Any pros and cons list and/or information that I need to know about using them?
Thanks!

Any recomended settings for battery life, with decent performance (no gaming)Custom, the word says it all, custom kernels provide a lot more cpu governers, to control the processing the way we want to, for battery vs performance ratio, some are good for battery, some are performance oriented. Hope this clears it up for you.![]()
Without gaming, I usually use conservative mode, and lock the frequency at 998mhz, and enable multi core power saving at agressive. And at 40% battery i automate a profile at 770 mhz to increase battery, when listening to music or just browsing.Any recomended settings for battery life, with decent performance (no gaming)
What specs/version are you on?Yes its battery life is much better fr me...bcz i m using it frm 2 days only 1% decreased the whole night whn i left phn.it was 88% in nigjt about 11 pm and when i checked in morning about 7am its 87%...
I can't find conservative on cpu, is it the gpu setting?Without gaming, I usually use conservative mode, and lock the frequency at 998mhz, and enable multi core power saving at agressive. I'm using the DT2W version.Anyone care to share their battery life info?
As in you get 30 more minutes of battery life?I can't find conservative on cpu, is it the gpu setting?
I'm using the DT2W version.
Without any customizations, it add around half to an hour of SoT on my device using cm14.1.
Yes, i think. As in you get 30 more minutes of battery life?
Sorry, that was present in the older MM versions, so I mistyped, now I usually use impulse, it's a better balance between battery and performance just like interactive but has some tweaks to save battery.I can't find conservative on cpu, is it the gpu setting?
Wohoo finally released. Clarity Governorchangelogs:
- cherry pick some fixes bugs with wifi
- added badass, smartassH3, clarity governor
- remove intellidemand and intelliactive
- set 256kb only for mmc
- intelliplug remove freq limiter
Download
NOTE
D initial for DT2W and ND initial for No-DT2W As requested

Is it better for battery life (with decent performance)?Wohoo finally released. Clarity Governor![]()
Sent from my Moto E using XDA Labs
I think, yes. It based on SmartAssH3 whichis it has been tuned to have more efficient frequency scaling (not ramping too high when not needed) which this could potentially result in better battery life. Cmiiw. Is it better for battery life (with decent performance)?
Thanks! Why are some of the options removed?changelogs:

for intelliplug its purpose just control the cpu cores not frequency, and i remove freq limiter from intelliplug because to avoid some race condition by cpu governor such as smartassH3 or clarity cpu governor is using frequency limter when sleep,Thanks! Why are some of the options removed?
kcal already added by official source cm, you can use it using kernel adiutor under section "screen"Hi and thank you for the awesome kernel...!!!!
Can you add please ,if its possible kcal control ?
