It's written in the managing app (if you use EX kernel manager)
"These settings do not stick"

Hello @flar2

Thanks for your great work and support here.

I noticed an issue on the latest kernel v5.00
Upon installation, I selected "no swipe to sleep gestures" in the aroma installer.

Despite that, the default "swipe to left in the nav bar area to sleep" remains active! Tried many times to reinstall...

This is particularly annoying when navigating between projects in Tasker, I often unintentionally put the phone to sleep...

I remember someone mentioning here a similar issue with the I/O scheduler in kernel v5.00.

Probably a root cause to both issues?
(Although I/O scheduler is tunable with the manager app, this is not the case with swipe-to-sleep)

Thanks in advance for your help

Same to me, I also am experiencing the same problem, 'sleep', as I also selected "no swipe to sleep gestures" in the aroma installer.

Thanks in advance, I know u r very kind:fingers-crossed:

Hi Guys,

I want to ask you, may I flash this kernel with stock recovery?
I must stay unrooted, because my bank apps don't want work on custom ROMs :(
Root and recovery are different things. You can use twrp and kernel and still be unrooted!

1. Flash twrp
2. Flash ElementalX

By skipping Magisk or any other root zips you stay unrooted. You, however won't be able to use kernel manager apps without root. So you will have to stick with stock ElementalX settings.

Have you tried Magisk root method? There is an option to hide root to specific apps. Personally, I had no problems with rooted phone and banking so I have never used this option.

Ask on thread if any other user has experience with your banking app.
