Looks promising but when I tried to install it the Aroma Installer was so slow that I thought something was wrong with my phone. Maybe I'll try it later on

If you're s-on it could take five minutes or more to install.Looks promising but when I tried to install it the Aroma Installer was so slow that I thought something was wrong with my phone. Maybe I'll try it later on
My bad I forgot to put that I'm S-Off. It was weird. I went ti install it and it hung up on the first screen. I then managed to get past that screen and it hung up on the second screen. I waited for about 5 minutes and it didn't do anything. Does it matter that I have the updated TP Firmware? I haven't had any issues with any other aroma installers so that makes this even more weird. If you're s-on it could take five minutes or more to install.
Did you try it again? My installer shouldn't be any different than others. My bad I forgot to put that I'm S-Off. It was weird. I went ti install it and it hung up on the first screen. Draining flar, but if lte its standby.. my battry its life when its on always.. so drainIs your battery draining, or not draining?
You'll need to give it a couple days to see how battery life will be.
For me, on the One XL, this kernel increases my battery life by over 50%.
It didn't work for me,my screen frozeWill this work on 3.15 ROMs also?
What ROM are you using? I am s-off, wiped cache and dalvik before and after flash, let settle for about 10 minutes and rebooted after it settled. I am not sure if this kernel will work for 3.15 ROMs but I can confirm it works with Arc-Reactor on NikLaTte and thicklizard said the same thing. I did not flash this kernel because there is no md5 to check. It didn't work for me,my screen froze

Flar2 already made a OC kernel check the elementalX thread last few pages its 3.1 kernel.. Its based off 3.16.. Think this kernels just ment to be stable no oc.. elementalX 3.1 has oc and u can change voltageWhat's up flar2, I'm loving the kernel its running great on viper 3.1.4.will you be updating the kernel to be able to overclock in the future?
Wow really , cause it's not working for me on ViperWhat's up flar2, I'm loving the kernel its running great on viper 3.1.4.will you be updating the kernel to be able to overclock in the future?
ElementalX is more of a "hacked" kernel. flar2 added the modules for oc and other edits for the other options. There is a HUGE difference between source compiled kernels and "hacked" kernels. :beer:Flar2 already made a OC kernel check the elementalX thread last few pages its 3.1 kernel.. Its based off 3.16.. Actually I've released a beta version of elementalx built from source.ElementalX is more of a "hacked" kernel. flar2 added the modules for oc and other edits for the other options. There is a HUGE difference between source compiled kernels and "hacked" kernels.
Edit: I'm not knocking or putting down elementalX kernel. Up until source was released elementalX was the only kernel I used with sense. Great work on both kernels! Much appreciated!

Awesome... Thanks for clarifying... I'm gonna have to go get me that kernel. I'm running this kernel now and its running great. No complaints so far. If anything odd happens I will be sure to get you a logcat. Thanks again. :beer:Actually I've released a beta version of elementalx built from source.
I know what you mean, but I just want to explain that kernel modules are simply a way to add functionality to a running kernel and are widely used in all linux distributions. It was far more difficult to create the modules without source than it is to build the kernel from source. But, yeah, stuff like overclocking and voltage control is better if it's built in.
I tried flashing this on viper rom and it wouldn't get past the boot animation.
