Im really pleased with this kernel so far, been running it for a few hours now with no glitches at all. My phone usually doesnt like custom kernels but seems to to be running great. Kind of made a point of useing it alot more than I normally do just to see how it would perform, how battery is overheating etc. Pretty impressive. I know it takes a couple days to get real battery results but im seeing an improvement already, im expecting itll probably get better.
As far as installing, the only problem i ran into was with Aroma, no touch....had to use volume and power to chose and procede. First attempt was 2.3.1.0, second was 2.3.3.0 and third was with latest TWRP. All with the same result. Could be my phone tho. Anyhow, all in all Im really likeing this kernel so far. Thanks again

Same here with 2.4.1, in fact I want through 4 different versions of TWRP and finally concluded it was on my end. Curious as to why touch in Aroma works for some but not for others...

Yeah same here, seems like in aroma i frequently have an issue. Either freezing up, or having to use volume/power to navigate. Only been a couple of occatons that aroma would install smoothly, which is a bummer. I like the options aroma is capable of offering ( depending on what the dev cooks in) would be cool if it was more stable for all.

Is it rebooting? Or just hanging?

Nothing I can do about it without logs.

If it reboots, I need cat /proc/last_kmsg > last_kmsg.txt

If it's just hanging, go into adb shell and type dmesg > dmesg.txt
For me, I get "device offline" once it freezes about 5 seconds into the boot animation. This is on Viper4G 3.1.4, tried through TWRP 2.4.3.0 (which said failed). And tried via fastboot.

I couldnt find swiping option that i mean...only swiping with backlight option
I prefer sweep2wake this way, I find it more responsive and working good. Thicklizard has a kernel with the type of s2w you're looking for.

Check the elementalx thread, there are a few posts explaining how to install on viper.
