To flar2,

Sir, please prepare to become a God in the hboot 2.09 s-on community. Flashing your config files along with the modified stock kernel has SOLVED the reboot issue with anything that writes to the /system partition.

I now have full r/w access to /system as an added benefit of doing this process. Prepare for MANY hboot 2.09 s-on folks to come your way.
I now have exactly the same functionality as I did when I had hboot 1.15. with the added bonus of having the updated firmware.

Sir I cannot express my gratitude enough!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am donating $20 to your cause!!!!

Anyone that reads this and has hboot 2.09 s-on please know that if you extract the boot.img from the zip and flash it in fastboot then flash this zip as instructed you will NO LONGER HAVE THE ISSUE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO WRITE TO YOUR /SYSTEM PARTITION I no longer have reboots with supersu. I no longer have reboots with adfree when I update the host. I plan on linking this thread with this info in my thread about hboot 2.09 in Q & A.

And to flar2 I hope you advertise this added functionality all over the place! It is the solution all of us that are hboot 2.09 have been looking for.

THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

On super jelly. Getting some graphical glitches at 1728. I put gpu to 3d 300, 2d 200. Should I try anything else to fix besides stock cpu speeds?

Also a screenie, I'm gonna try for higher scores with tinkering when I get some time tonight.

Swyped from my eVo

Very interested in this, however I ran into some issues. Not sure if anyone else has posted these as I don't have time to read through all the postings.I downloaded the latest Kernel you supplied. The method I followed is outlined below.

Reboot recovery
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
flash ElementalX

Once inside the Aroma installer, it was unresponsive to touch input so I had to use the volume up / down and power to select the 1.9ghz module. It started to install, however froze on 90% for some time. (left it for 10 minutes and then decided to force a "battery pull". Thinking it had worked and was just hung up (It was past installing, just said it was trying to wipe caches) I tried to boot to system and got boot loops. Tried the process twice more. I am S-Off. If theres anything you need from me, I'll try my best to help. I've been waiting for a OC kernel for a while now. :good:

Glitchy

I flashed successfully however, I'm getting graphical glitches while scrolling in app drawer and in browser. I am running newest stock with goodies and s-off with old h-boot. Also, my capacitive buttons no longer light up.

It works for me I'm on the latest stock with goodies. S off and rooted. I know you have to use your volume rocker and power button... No issues here.

What's battery life like? Improved if under clocked? What's the loss over clocked ?

Under clocked I noticed about an hour more battery life. Here is the strange part.... When I did the slight over clocking... I didn't loose the battery quicker than a thought

I finally got this to work on my phone I flashed the 1728 option and everything is running smooth. Adds a little more smoothness to the Rom with a bump in clock speed thanks for this. Obviously my phone cannot handle higher OC but I used to OC to 1809 on ICS with no problems guess 1728 is good enough for me. Thanks again appreciate you bringing this to our evo.

I'm running at 1.72 and I'm seeing 10 percent battery diff in the same amount of time. Played a few games and surfed the web quite a bit. So not too bad considering the performance boost =)
