Yeah it doesn't seem to have installed correctly. Would flashing my ROM have undone any changes?
Either way, I can't seem to get it work with Fragment I guess.

I had flashed this through recovery, so would flashing it through fastboot make any difference?
Clean flashing your ROM should undo any changes, but you can dirty flash over it first.

I used fastboot to flash the kernel.

Reboot into fastboot

fastboot devices to check if your device is connected in fastboot mode.

Then

fastboot flash boot insertkernelnamehere.img

And your done.

What about kexec?

Gesendet von meinem D6603 mit Tapatalk
I don't know about the M stock kernel, but I know that kexec-hardboot on the 3.10 AOSP kernel is just not working. I tried almost everything now, and just can't get it working.
I said that I might look into it on stock, but N Sources dropped today, and boy, msm8974 needs a lot of love. Google completely removed support for it in there, so I'd rather focus on getting N working on the shinano platform then porting kexec to stock :p
If @ShadowElite wants to port kexec-hardboot to stock, and has requests, he can hit me up via PM, I might have some ideas here and there though and would be glad to help (especially since this kernel is currently my daily driver :p) ;)

Terrible battery life with this kernel. Even if i underclock the cpu its still shi**.
Nobody forces you to use the kernel. If all people in this thread are happy with the batterylife, how comes you are not? The kernel detects your phone and uses up more battery on purpose?

Come back when you know how to formulate constructive critics, till then go back into your trollcave.

It takes up more battery than the stock kernel does. It overhears right away when i start the phone. I like the kernel but i just have that overheating/battery drain problem. With stock its all cool and battery is better. 10 minutes since i flashed the v3 and 10% battery gone. 0.0

Maybe you should just unistall all the useless apps you are using before you blame the kernel....if you only knew better...flashing stuff always eats some battery when you first boot up...after 10 minutes only you act like this??? Just installing it isn't goin to magically fix anything....you also need a kernel manager and play with settings or even better google and read and learn......

Been using V2 for a few days. The battery drain was there. And overheating. Don't say that to me like im a phucking downsyndrome patient. I was playing with Kenel Auditor and fixed the issues but i think the Adreno Idler is not properly working or something. And the default CPU governer is just bad. Ondemand works best. I just wanted to say that its power managing features aren't the best. That is the only thing that it's lacking.

And yet only you have issues....you don't even post screenshots of battery usage etc....you just complain like you are a little kid how do you expect for the OP or anyone else to help?

Well for me is really funny that you are using my v2 (that magically have adreno idler) for days. You can make questions, requests, bug reports, but you can't come here and say that the kernel makes problems that doesn't have. Before release this I test it for some time, for first version I tested it some months, wasting time implementing the stuff, with the goal of make something with quality.

Then dont use the kernel, btw im getting insane battery life with the kernel, whatever you have is probably rom related.. I managed 3 days with 9 hours sot without underclocking or any of that, definitly is only you. So instead of saying harsh things, ask for some help. Since problem is only with you and no one else..
