That's the reason I deleted my comment when I replied.Taurus uses a custom UKM. Use UKM 3.8.1 (Official) for AK.

Oh okay cool. Both work in my experience, but its probably better to just stick with 3.8.1.That's the reason I deleted my comment when I replied.

Luckily Exposed for M was just released. I'm using it and its working great.aosp with M2 still has hsic wakelock, even thou it is marked as fixed in kernel auditor
UKM (at the bottom of the page): https://drive.google.com/folderview...&usp=sharing&tid=0B77BTW0zStYCSTRIYWpZQS1nOWsHi guys, I'm new to AK Kernel but I'm interested in flashing this since it gives USB OTG support. In the instruction, it says to flash "last UKM", and then " install Synapse". Can anyone refer me the files, and explain what those files do (sorry guys I'm a noob)? I'm currently on Minimal OS, do I need to wipe anything before flashing?
OK thanks for the explanationUKM (at the bottom of the page): https://drive.google.com/folderview...&usp=sharing&tid=0B77BTW0zStYCSTRIYWpZQS1nOWs
Synapse (kernel manager): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.af.synapse
Synapse is the app that you'll use if you want to tweak the ak.kernel, or any other kernel you want. In order to be able to use Synapse, you need UKM.
Also, USB OTG doesn't work with an ordinary OTG cable, like the new devices do. You need an Y-cable for that (google it to see how it looks like).
No need to wipe anything as long as you're using the stock kernel that came with the ROM you have installed.OK thanks for the explanationShould I wipe anything before flashing the kernel and UKM? Also would something like this works for the USB OTG:

I'm quoting myself in hope for answers.Ok, so, despite the 6.0 in the name, does the kernel still work in Lollipop 5.1.1? If not, where can I find the archive for older versions?
Search for M2 and you will find it, that's how I did.Hi,
Where can I find the download link for CM M2?
OP Seems to be empty :crying:

But I'm looking for the cm version.Search for M2 and you will find it, that's how I did.

UKM is something that's necessary if you want to tweak the kernel with the Synapse app.Hi,
I would like to try this kernel, but I dont exactly understand the install guide. What doest it mean, Flash last UKM?
Also, do I need to "dirty flash" my current ROM first or just flash the kernel zip and thats it?
Thanks for help!![]()
Last questionUKM is something that's necessary if you want to tweak the kernel with the Synapse app.
And you need to dirty flash your ROM then flash the kernel.zip, only if you have another custom kernel already installed on the device. For example, if you have "Taurus kernel" currently installed on your device and want to try out "Quanta kernel", you have to dirty flash the ROM first, then flash Quanta.
