Actually I can confirm that its kernel issue. Specifically thermal, you have the floor for thermal set to 1350mhz when it should be able to go lower than that. Sure it keeps the phone running faster but it does come at the price of heat, especially when booting up while optimizing. I've had my CPU go as high as 90° C because of this.Converting to art is not part of the kernel.
The problem with overtemp is related to rom, because the kernel is based on 4.3, basically the same.
Also same with CrDroid Build 1.blue screen with cm11 from euroskank :/
i solved with gnome aosp romAlso same with CrDroid Build 1.
Anarkia, will you do a specific CM version for KitKat, too?
Edit: Ops, i just saw your commits. A CM version comming...

ciao e grazie per il tuo grandissimo lavoro ;D
Kernel you can flash without wipe.Should I wipe cache & dalvik before or after I flash your kernel? Or is it necessary at all. Going to test 114

I know Semaphor kernel is 65c and I believe Franco kernel is 75 (correct me if I'm wrong here). It might vary from kernel to kernel based on voltage tables and hotplug
Did you try using the focal app? I tried recording with the stock camera app and my phone rebootedThis kernel breaks zooming while video recording for kitkat

1- its in the op. Uses lower power.I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but there's 3 things in this kernel I'm curious about.
1 - why the 162k minimum freq rather than the more common 192k minimum?
2 - why the addition if the 270k freq? (I do use this myself as the minimum)
3 - why the Wheatley gov as default? I havent seen it set as default anywhere else.
No complaints, the kernel works great. Just curious.

btw intellidemand is not from kit kat. It has been updated to match faux's nexus 5 kernel (which is kit kat) and is at version 4.4 (of the governor)1- its in the op. Uses lower power.
2- 162 doesn't work well in all phones.
3- new default is intellidemand ( in KitKat kernel ).
Anarkia can add more details to this info later if you find it lacking

No issues here. I'm using 114 now, was using 112 earlier. No probs with music here. Google play music :thumbup:I'm having a bug with 112 kitkat where music playback does not function whatsoever when the screen is off. I'll pull a log later when I feel like reflashing the kernel. xD
