I pushed a new FKU beta couple minutes ago - early adopters please test the ZIP download path function on Settings. Its not yet 100% polished, but the functionality is there and it works. Waiting for feedback.

Good night!

App update looks good. I like the way the text animation is whenever you open file manager, color profiles, etc... pretty slick lookin. :good:

The .zip download path is nice. I did find a minor problem. When downloading to a directory with a space in it, it doesn't work properly. It creates a folder with the space removed. I.e. set directory to /sdcard/Franco kernels & when I download the .zip it creates it's own folder & puts it in /sdcard/Francokernels. Does anyone else see this happening?

I've experienced a bug twice now while playing a video.
The video's image freezes, but the sound keeps going and the app crashes, eventually.
First, it was using YouTube and now it just happened on Instagram.

It's never happened to me before and started happening after flashing r36 test, so I'm guessing that's the problem.

Running Paranoid Android 4.1 BETA 2, ART runtime and r36 with default values.

Attached two logs below, one once the YouTube app started acting strange, as mentioned above, and the second after I tried attaching the first log and saw the whole phone acting up. Took a while to come back from sleep and it was completely unresponsive once it came up.

Hope this helps somehow and thanks for developing such a great kernel.

Absolutely no idea, the log doesn't tell me anything. I'm watching Shark Tank on my N5 using YouTube without a single problem! Cannot reproduce :S

Just want to say Franco. I experience the same thing so I check the ram and it's the same problem.. There's a leak in ram that's causing it. When it happens there's even a delay in my home button.. Closing apps etc.. I hope it gets fix eventually..

Here's a kernel log (happened while on Instagram), sorry about that.

Hope this one helps you in some way.

I noticed this morning with the last r36 beta that when I use 9gag app and open a gif, sometimes it hangs and I have to force kill the app..

Working nicely here, that's one of the only bits I hadn't set up in the app cos its a pain in the arse to type the directory. A nice touch being a to choose quite simply by clicking on it. Being able to per launch app mode app within fku is good, glad you took my suggestion there! It would be cool if you did the same for nexus display control app. Iv left a post on that thread for you

Stock ROM here. Updated to r35 yesterday . Some observations : when powering on, lock/unlock key on the phone is not responsive until 30sec or so. Probably stuff is loading in the background and I am just hesitating to turn off the screen for applying color profile. First time I got some distortion on the upper screen, around status bar , but it is gone now when I restarted the phone.
Other than that everything else looks to be OK. Phone is stable. When undervolting with r34 values phone it is rock solid , no program closing. Gaming is OK too. Even Xbox 360 wireless controller works fine, so drivers should be good too. Too bad that few games are supported, but when support is there, games like Dead trigger 2 feels great.

I'm Finally happy with the new test build.. The brightness level is better than 35 version. I haven't tried headset . There are people who have sent feedback here regarding the headset problem. I heard that it is worse than the r35 build. And one of the main problem that happen to my nexus is that ram.. That is been solved down here. I feel like to stick with this kernel, but if the headset problem persist then I'll have to go back to r35. :D Bcoz music is my life.

Had that problem, too, a few days ago. Happened right after installing vomer's tweaks. Reverting them fixed it. Don't know what happened there...

    Hi all.

    Compatibility:
It should work on any rom by following this logic:
Builds (starting with r65) are Android 5.0 Lollipop only.
Builds (starting with r72) are Android 5.1 Lollipop only.
Builds (starting with r76) are Android 6.0 Marshmallow only.
Builds (starting with r97) are also compatible with Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 7.1 Nougat .
Builds (starting with r114) are also compatible with Android 8.1.0 Oreo.

This does not work with "CAF" roms.

    Download:
    https://francokernel.app

    Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
    or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app

    Features:
    1 - Legendary battery life
    2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
    5 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
6 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
7 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
8 - No crap placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
9 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Kernel Manager for Franco Kernel demo

    Disclaimer to moderators:
Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.

    Cheers!

r33 is pushed! Thanks for all the tests during this last 5-6 weeks. Before you ask yes this build is newer than the last r33-test. Most of you that followed the changes know basically what changed, so this is a generic changelog:

    * FK does not work with CM or derivates anymore so don't flash if you're in one of those roms. Also make sure you're not undervolting too much, this new build might be a little extra nervous regarding low voltages
    * This is a huge release with more than 1 month of consecutive testing. It contains probably more than 250 new commits which include a lot of patches from Codeaurora with fixes, performance improvements and battery improvements. Subsystems like cpufreq, audio, video, display, thermal, power management etc have been improved. For a complete list of changes please visit my github repository
    * My hotplug driver has been improved as in having a complete new set of tunables for advanced users. Visit my repository for the documentation of each tunable

    Enjoy!

I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, lots of food, kisses, hugs, and quality time.

From my part thanks a lot for the great 2 months since the N5 was released, that, for me, is a great gift, thank you all.

    * Add RGB display calibration /sys/devices/platform/kcal_ctrl.0/kcal
