From reports, seems the only thing that is broken is camera (and it's not even full broken, the view finder just looks really dark/blurred). So not bad for a full version jump imo.I dunno. Don't try it. Kernel sources aren't out yet so I can't guess what's changed.
I have no wakelocks for playservices at all.
And still my battery life is worse than r33 or earlier.
*Used WakeLock detector to check.
Play services version 9.8.77 (440-135396225)
I think the wakelocks of it are related to some unstable sync or for geolocation services, mine geolocs are turned off.
I did wipe system only and flash rom+gapps+supersu. Problem is now gone! It seems like phh superuser was culprit despite the fact I tried several phh setups (and never actually understand what am I doing by changing these parameters). I'll stick to supersu. Cheers!Dunno. Android outputs BOOT_COMPLETED broadcast on reboots and my app pick it up and apply the saved settings. I use an interactive Shell for faster root commands, but that shouldn't have anything to do with the root method used. I suggest you try SuperSu instead.
Reverted back to r33. It's definitely snappier than r34. There was too much stuttering. Will check back in on battery life.
I am getting less than 5 hrs sot on r34, but on older versions i got more than 6hrs. The difference seems significant. Usage habbit really the same
Nope, not possible.
Are you sure nothing else changed? Because I'm being rekt by Google Play Services in some devices.
Well, I don't know what to say then. My snapchat no longer stutters and hesitates. Before my screen would hang and freeze for maybe 1-2 seconds at a time. Switching between full-screen and normal view on Youtube doesn't have a delay anymore either. Same goes for occasionally opening apps or multi-tasking.
