Followed all instructions , am unable to still get deauth working on both apps
1. on using hijacker everything seems to work fine but when i tried to deauth my other device on my network nothing happened
2. on using nexmon i tried the same but it says " no packet injection support sorry "
couldn't manage to get kali chroot installed either ,
the app doesn't not download the chroot from the internet so i downloaded it separately and tried to install it but
1. the app said its installed but on trying to run anything it said couldn't find chroot
2 . it install it but says something about sudo not found and hence cancels the process
these two happened with two different versions of the app

the chroot install normally from the nethunter app but when it comes to installing packages the nethunter terminal acts weird . it runs something too fast to read and then just closes . upon opening it again it gives the error " couldnt find /data/locat/nhsystem/kalifs/bin: "
btw mtp doesn't work on flashing the kernel so copy all the important files before flashing

1. I only those apps occasional and have more with the development for a new Nethunter kernel for our device to do, but look up kimo's twitter account.
He changed Hijacker and created a new build, from what I read.

2. I have the same issue, but I use Nexmon only in the chroot, which can you as well.Either you get the regarding patches from OP's repo.If this doesn't work, can I send you a link to a according repo from another user, which is easily to install.
Anyway.Try the version from the web store, but it is still a outdated layout. If you want to use a UI try to build it by yourself if possible.

3.(?)Yup, the instructions are fuzzy on this.I think kimo forget a couple of steps.Including source(ehem). ;>

The kernel is not very stable..like I wrote before* would I use simply the last stable from the Nethunter repo.If you on it would I build everything with the latest kalifs, apps etc.

If you have any questions or issues can you gladly quote me here and I will try to help.

:D

Best regards

so basically if i flash nethunter and get chroot working i can use the nethunter terminal to deauth right ?

I did not completely understand, if you want to have option of usind a external adapter, or the internal monitor mode capability of the Nexus solely.

In case you want both you have to install the right rom and of course the necessary kernel etc.

I spare you the hassle of looking for the rom, as well as a brief description of the installation process.

https://build.nethunter.com/contributors/re4son/angler/

If you want to install the newer version, which include amongst other the apps, up-to-date chroot, you have to build them with Offensive's python installer, which I would recommend.

some of the poeple mention preloading libnexmon.so to use nexmon did you have to do that as well ?

Not necessarily.

You can try the Nexmon app, which can be found in the Nethunter store.

You could choose the Nethunter kernel for Oreo, which is from kimocoder, but in this case would the option to use a external adapter not possible.

Or you look up the already build libnexmonkali.so files and load them accordingly.

For this try Nexmon repo.

Another source

https://github.com/RoninNada/libnexmonkali

There you'll find them as well, or you can build them by yourself.

The Nexmon repo provides you with build instructions and everything you need.

Good luck :)

Oh, it's been 2 months since I try to get the nexus 6p to work normally.

I already tried:

1. Repeat step by step all the actions from this post(android 7.1.2):

What works:
Monitor mode only in android environment (built-in wi-fi)
Hijacker - aircrack-ng only

What does not work:

When i'am connect an external Wi-Fi based on the rt2800 / 3700 chip - reboot.
When i'am connect an external Wi-Fi based on the rtl8812au chip, it works in the environment of Kali, but when i'am start the reaver - reboot
Reaver when launched on the built-in wifi - refers to the error "nex_driver_io error"

I tried updating to android 8.0 / 8.1, do a clean install and repeat the instructions for android 7.1.2 ...
Now I have 8.1 with the kernel from the post above.
Hijacker, all the same problems remained + Bluetooth stopped working and Hijacker crashes at startup.

What am I doing wrong?

They include injection support for ath9k, rtl8192cu, rtl8812au, rtl8814au, rtl8821au, rt3070

We are about to start a new thread for this release. It'll be up in a couple of days.

Is there any way to extract the nethunter kernel from the los107.1 build to flash with another rom? I only need nexmon usage and it works great on Oreo, but I miss my gestures. Or is there a flashable zip? The PixelDust rom's customization is amazing and would love to have nexmon support on it.

To your question: no, you can't extract solely the Nexmon patch from the kernel. But you can compile one with the necessary firmware patches from Nexmon and try to implement them into a new one.

:)

As many user struggle here to get Nexmon running, would it be of help, if you could explain how you get it to work on Oreo.

Did you use the recent kernel, or did you patch this yourself?

I can even load Nexmon..

If you want to use solely Nexmon then would I suggest that you downgrade and take a look into the Nethunter repo.

I could compile them from his github repo, but you have to know how Nexmon files can be implemented..
This one is for Android stock 8.0.

Would that be something that can be of help for you?

Is it worth it, downgrade to android version 8.1.0 (OPM7.181205.001, Dec 2018) for 7.1.2 (N2G48C, Aug 2017) or does nexmon work for android 7.1.2. Could this be a joke with nexmon.

BRO. you saved me after spending so much time trying to get either Nexmon to work or Hijacker to stop crashing... i followed your instructions, i\ncluding reverting to 7.1.2 ... and it WORKS! Both monitor mode and capturing handshakes works in both Nexmon and Hijacker. just get the hijacker apk from kimocoder's github repo. modded version works fine

So a primary step on the LOS 17.1 build is flashing the original factory radio, vendor, ect... partitions first. Couldn't the same be done here and provide the functions without the full ROM? I'd prefer not start from scratch again if possible. I can't get native WiFi to Mon mode though. Another issue for me is that I have 2 vendor partitions after adding the squashfs version and it seems impossible to remove.
ty to all the devs keeping this device relevant with their hard work. Especially re4son, kimocoder, pixelboot, and anyone I'm too ignorant to acknowledge

Couple quick questions?
Which nethunter version did you flash running android 7? The latest?
nethunter-2021-1-angler-oreo-kalifs-full-zip? If not can you tell me which version? And are you running stock image for android 7? Thanks

    [ Installation ]
We recommend you start from scratch and setup the device, full restore to fresh v7.1.2 is recommended,
even though this kernel supports Android 8.1 too, some of the tools can't right now unfortunately.

    1. Find the original, stock firmware over here and choose the latest 7.1.2 (N2G48C, Aug 2017)
    2. Press & hold VOLUME DOWN [ - ] and POWER to reboot to bootloader
    3. Flash the stock firmware with "flash-all.bat" on Windows or "flash-all.sh" for Linux users
    4. Boot into stock and ENABLE developer setting (the menu you get after SPAMMING 5-7 times on the "Build Number" in "Settings" and "About Phone"
-- here you may use the phone to download the kernel zip for flashing afterwards. or use "adb sideload" later on.
    5. With ADB enabled, reboot to BOOTLOADER
    6. Get TWRP recovery from over here and flash it with "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-0-angler.img"
    7. VOLUME UP or DOWN and choose "Recovery Mode"
    8. In recovery mode
    9. Either flash the kernel zip (if you downloaded in the phone before reboot), or go to "Advanced" and use "ADB Sideload"
    10. If you ended up with "ADB Sideload" open Terminal or "Minimal ADB" prompt (Windows) and flash the kernel with "adb sideload < file.zip >
    11. After flashing the kernel, you also would need root. We suggest using Magisk root which you may find over here
And flash the latest stable release. Same method as earlier.

    12. Open "Magisk Manager" and search for "busybox" -- Install it and reboot again in order to activate it.
    13. Start installing apps, e.g Hijacker official link
--- Nexmon and it's tools ain't a bad choice either, the WiFi SoC is BCM4358 and supported. Grab it over here
    14. A Terminal would also be useful here, grap it from NetHunter repo right about here
    15. The NetHunter App should also be in place. Direkt link
    16. zANTI from Zimperium is loaded with nmap with NSE scripts/plugins and is pretty nifty one. grab it right here!
    17. cSploit is available right here
(it's getting outdated, but a few things work).
