Not saying yours doesn't. But every custom kernel I've seen either for stock or custom lose Mod support and it needs to be recoded. I can't test it as I'm running AOKP which has Mod support except for the projector at moment. From what I understand Moto had some coding between the firmware software and hardware. If mods don't work you can probably get some help from the other developers who have begun getting Mod support back into the kernels.
I'll have to wait for someone to provide more detailed feedback. I don't have any mods and I'm not sure where I could buy them without paying an arm and a leg in Canada.

I've built all the greybus modules and the v4l2 module, so everything should work.

I didn't bother with those, just went with my own implementation. A lot of touchscreens support gestures, but they are usually lacking the proper firmware or require unknown register values in the device tree.

You don't need to root

How do I try the projector and true zoom stuff? What are they?

Well, if i install the kernel everthing is ok, but if i want to change the parameters i need to install any kernel manager and it needs root, the only way to root is in this forum and have issues with camera and projector mods (im gonna publish some logs in the forum), also if i dont wanna instal kernel manager i have to boot in twrp each time to change a parameter.

im gonna test it in RETMX firm

Unfortunately it's not possible to change kernel parameters on the fly without root.

Are you saying root prevents the camera and projector from working? If you install this kernel without root, does the projector and camera work?

What's exactly NOT working?

As for TWRP, the modded version never worked for me either, but the official build always did. Try that instead: https://eu.dl.twrp.me/griffin/
The device didn't boot, just stay on moto logo then do a bootloop.
I will taste the TWRP, I don't know what else could be..

Edited, is the same result with the twrp-3.1.1-0-griffin.img maybe could be the rom

Same thing happened to me at first but my problem was that I swiped to allow system modifications when first booting into TWRP that caused the phone not to boot. Had to reinstall system to stock and reflash the kernel this time without the system modifications... that worked for me

Solved, yes that was by allowing system modifications with the TWRP.

I just tested the projector, and it works (pretty cool, actually)

So now I've tested the speaker and projector, both working 100%.

Just need confirmation on the battery pack and camera mods. I don't think I'll be able to get access to these myself.
