My MOTO Z is still under stock, and the WiFi speed is really slow, would flashing your kernel fix that for me ?

I don't think it will make any difference

No, I haven't updated for Oreo.

After I downloaded the last security patch (December 2017), no kernel worked, they all killed the wifi (tried everything to solve) and the installation of supersu killed the camera (stock or modified), I'm testing this together with magisk and so far I did not have any problems, congratulations!​

1. flash the moto z official version to ensure that WIFI can work properly
2. flash trwp
3. flash magisk
4. flash third-party kernel

I have not received the Oreo update, but this is built with the latest sources released by Moto and *should* work

I installed it and it works on 7.1.1 anyways

Thanks Flar2 for the update. I flashed the oreo kernel but after reboot it keeps going to the boot loader screen. I tried a reset to factory and then went to install it again but no go.

Strange that it doesn't work, it's pretty close to stock. There's not much I can do until I get oreo installed on my phone.

No problem, I reverted back to backup for now. Anyone out there test it out yet?

yes, I was on oreo AOSP 5.4 now on AICP after install ElementalX 3.00 - bootloop

3.00 is only for Stock Oreo, not for Custom Roms.

I tried 3.00 on Stock Oreo on my XT1650-03 today. After installing it the phone will only boot into bootloader. I can't get it to boot the system.

Flashed ElementalX-Z-3.00. All went OK, the only problem... lost the Wi-Fi. I'm not using it daily, but it's good to know it's functional.
@flar2 Thanks for your work! Hope that you will be able to fix it with an update soon.
