Which makes me cry a little inside :/ :aww:.
Maybe hide an enabling trigger for it inside Boeffla-Config? If people can read the thread to find out about it then surely they could at least not do stupid things when undervolting.

Or just tell them, even from the app that they would be straight up ignored for support requests if undervolting is on.

(Or include a general post format for submitting issues and bug reports, I've seen that work before).

... or just leave it out as it is now. This is my preferred option clearly :)

Sorry, I have really no motivation to put something in which
a) I will never use myself
b) causes only trouble and support in the long term

So, it is definitely not on top of any list :)

In case you're bored, I can suggest you other kernel stuff related things to do, like for instance.... don't know, maybe CM13 :D
Unfortunately I never feel bored, ... I have a professional job which keeps me 120% busy already. Kernelling comes on top.

But yeah, CM13 will certainly become an option which will motivate me, probably even soon.

Just an info. Exodus is not AOSP based. It is just not CM Based. It uses the CM kernel only. So don't worry, it will work. There is no AOSP ROM for OP2 yet (and never will be. Mostly there will a CAF ROM sometime which requires a separate kernel.)

That's good to hear. I'll keep my hopes up.

A very understandable and respectable option and opinion indeed :).

I suppose, if I get time, that I gotta research and implement it myself, keeping a fork, just merging commits as they come along.

Development progress update...

Hi all,

I know, what I do now is close to suicide... but I cannot hold back some of the work I started this morning.

Also I know it is not the right thread, but anyways. So you know, I started with it, I am on it :D

And no: No questions about ETA allowed. You know about my opinion when it will come out potentially.

I've actually a question I'd like to ask, however it is not XDA/Kernel related.

If your real life job involves (or is pretty much always) programming in any sense or way, do you not (sometimes) get demotivated when it comes to your kernel work?

Seeing that your kernel work is your side hobby/other source of income (if you consider donations/Boeffla-Config), does one not potentially demotivate the other, since it could be seen as 'even more programming'? How does one keep the work/life balance control correctly?

Apart from a huge, very supportive community, what would you say would be a good motivator for the kernel work you do?

Very simple answer: No.

Because I left programming and development in my professional (hands on) around 15 years go.
Then I became development manager, leading a European development team in the company I work.

And 5-6 years ago I moved to a world wilde Enterprise Architecture role and I am now leading a team of Enterprise Architects.
So in fact, I am only in meetings and video conferences the whole day, travelling a lot (as you noticed in the past when you followed my threads) and in fact guiding our development and business teams how to do the things correctly, being their trusted architectural advisor.

So, while the topic is of course always the same (IT), the job is very different to my hobby.

So the kernel development is your way to keep software programming.
And I'm sure we all are very grateful for your time and your work
