Yeah just flash it through EXKM and you'll do fine mateTo clarify things: can I flash the patched img with EXKM? or do I need to do it in Fastboot mode ?
Thanks

I dunno if it works on custom ROMs but I don't think so, flash the OOS again and flash Omega, but I'd recommend to wipe after flashing OOS to avoid issuesHey, I don't know if you saw my prior comment above here, but would you mind helping me out? I think the easy and simple solution is to update to 10.5.13 to reset the ROM, as I'm assuming the reason I can't flash Omega (or any other kernel) is because I flashed ExOS "ROM"; is that correct?
Thank you as well, now i'm running omegaYeah just flash it through EXKM and you'll do fine mate
All I know is all previous omega kernels have been for Oos only, no custom roms.
Yeah, I was hoping I could do it with ExOS since it's not a custom ROM, but modifies OOS (things like removing bloatware, enabling VoLTE and VoWiFi, throttling battery charging to prolong battery life, installing apps like dolby atmos, viper, GCamera, etc.). It is listed as a "ROM," but it just simply modifies OOS, if that makes sense. But yeah, I'm just going to have to reflash OOS I guess :/I dunno if it works on custom ROMs but I don't think so, flash the OOS again and flash Omega, but I'd recommend to wipe after flashing OOS to avoid issues![]()
It will probably work but I can't guarantee that, I wouldn't recommend any of these ROMs/mods (no offense to developers, they did a great job), I just like to keep it more stockish without any 3rd party mods that will even cause more damage, I'm talking in general, not about anything specifically.Yeah, I was hoping I could do it with ExOS since it's not a custom ROM, but modifies OOS (things like removing bloatware, enabling VoLTE and VoWiFi, throttling battery charging to prolong battery life, installing apps like dolby atmos, viper, GCamera, etc.). It's possible if the developer makes a boot IMG of the kernel , that you can install on fastbootHello,
sorry for the noob question. I would like to install this kernel but i want to stay un-rooted because i want to use banking apps. Is it possible?
Thanks
I also have this question. What does one need to do to use wireguard on the phone with this?Installed this kernel two days ago, so far a really great experience. Thank you very much, op! I just have one question: how exactly does wireguard work? Do I need to activate it or is it always working by default?

Hey thanks for the update!New kernel released! Can be downloaded from the attachment.
Changelog:
- Reverted all CAF patches... let's assume Oneplus actually knows what they are doing
- Compiled with advanced LLVM tools
- Reverted a commit that is not needed for LLVM, but was needed for latest binutils (which we are now not using)
Enjoy!
Should be kinda obvious mate, since you are still on A10, use the last one built for A10. If you are on A11, use the latest kernel version.Hey thanks for the update!
Just wanted to confirm that the best kernel for OOS 10 is still the one from Nov 20?
Haven't upgraded to A11 just yet because of a couple of themes I use with substratum not being updated for A11 yet.
Thanks again for your efforts!
Yeah I know it should be obvious, I was just confirming with the creator of the kernel, in case it is unified or it could work with A10 as well.Should be kinda obvious mate, since you are still on A10, use the last one built for A10. If you are on A11, use the latest kernel version.

Am I missing something? It appears that you have attached a .bin file. And the zip asset on Github downloads as a .bin file as well... How does one install?New kernel released! Can be downloaded from the attachment.

The new XDA app is to blame. It's not parsing filenames correctly. Just rename the download to .zip and it will flash.Am I missing something? It appears that you have attached a .bin file. And the zip asset on Github downloads as a .bin file as well... How does one install?
