But r42 didnt cause the phone to reach 50° in every reboot
I'll repeat one more time, booting is a very expensive operation. Regardless of the Kernel or rom you're using, stock or not stock, the device will heat up during boot. There's no change betweetn any Kernel version that affects heat during boot-up, it's simply expensive.

If I select a profile in the fk app, how do I apply the profile or is it enabled on tap?
It's enabled on tap.

R43 works with OOS 5.0.6 [emoji4]

Hey I installed fk r43 on OOS 5.0.6 (unrooted). Now I plan to root, but it is mentioned that it is better to install the custom kernel after installing magisk. So how do i go back to stock OOS kernel (uninstall fk)? Or shall i just install magisk over fk?
P.S. I dont have the fk updater app.

If you want to go back to the stock kernel you should reflash 5.0.6 full zip with TWRP, flash Magisk at the same time, reboot and after the first startup you can let the kernel install through the FrancoKernel app (just install that now?).

I've always flashed stock OOS image (5.0.6), then Franco Kernel (r43) and then Magisk 17.2.

Is that wrong? I've never had any issues.

Can anyone using it on LOS15.1 please post a quick review
Is the battery life actually better? Does it let adjust volume for speaker, headphone and earpiece in kernel aduitor?

I'm encountering a weird bahaviour in FK Kernel Manager app.
I would like to underclock my CPU to 1478MHz/1824MHz (silver/gold clusters).
But after every reboot, as soon as I look into the app the setting is set to 1190MHz/1478MHz instead.

Can anyone reproduce/confirm this?
FK r40 for/on latest LOS 15.1

somewhere in a forest
There must be someone using FK with modded Gcam. I have issues especially after the device wakes up from deep sleep. The camera is very slow and sometimes freezes so much that I have to restart the phone. Without FK this doesn't happen. Anyone else having the same issues? If not what settings are you using in FK? Thanks

Since that update my Wi-Fi stopped working twice. I know the kernel shouldn't be responsible for that, but it was the only change on the system for weeks...

I'm in the exact same situation with multiple wifi disconnects today and yesterday.

I didn't change anything else recently than the kernel, so I can't think of another reason..but I always read in this thread that the kernel doesn't change any wifi settings.

Edit: I'll reflash 43 and check if that changes anything. Atm I can't even connect to WiFi without restarting my phone.
