[KERNEL][OPO] FrancoKernel - r57 - 16th September - LineageOS 15.1 custom roms

Did you replace your battery with a larger capacity battery? OPO was designed to hold a 3100mAh battery so these chips have been programmed to support only that size. I'd get another battery with 3100mAh advertised. My (probably fake) replacement is working fine.

Yes i did repalce it with an original ZTE battery (4000mAh) but i used the original BMS controller from my OPO battery. If i could only 3100 i would be happy. I will have to go back to Sultans kernel because there i can adjust the batterie Gauge to a fixed value from 1-100% so the OS wont shut down to early. Then i have to use the akku voltige as indikator.

I hope there would be a way with francos kernel to avoid the problem but i think he is to busy.

Doesn't sound like an issue from the kernel side. Set those apps to not optimized under battery usage.

The display profiles option was very convenient with kcal support, especially with the option to set a particular one on boot. It's not even visible under 'Display Control' in the app now.

Please restore kcal support.

r58 will have it.

r56 did restore fast charging for me vs recent stock LOS kernel, which does make it seem plausible that with the recent sync r57 will now have the same issue. i'll do an a/b with 56/57 to be doubly sure, soon.

glad i read back through the thread before i got too aggressive with my charge port.

Yes me too. R56 really do restore the fast charge. I thought my battery has broken before

What type / model number of ZTE battery did you get?

@franciscofranco thanks for the update, old phone and all.

Can anyone please confirm whether the Franko kernel app settings stick with the new version? On r56 the core max frequencies were not sticking for example.

I was about to post the same. @franciscofranco would be very grateful if you can update.
I really hope this solves the charging issues. Anyone tested on stock kernel?

EDIT: I have checked with stock kernel and definitely get better charge rates. I am using bastardized cable+charger and getting ~400-500 instead of ~150-200 and when things are going well >800mA instead of max of ~600mA.

@franciscofranco, unless already enabled, as OPO supports ANT+ natively in hardware using the Qualcomm WCN3680 chip, would it possible for you to enable it in the cofiguration in your upcoming kernel?
