Good news !
NGK 1.3 and 3.3 app are up with some good additions! Mi 8 is now also supported. Thread updated, make sure you read the changelog...
Thanks to everyone who donated until now, that's really appreciated. I don't want to force anyone to do so, but we are almost there as you can see here: Crowdfunding
Back to work
Well temps are rom sided. Ngk doesnt have any custom thermals or such, it uses rom thermals. If you want to lower temps, lower big cluster frequency. Else change ROM to get control over thermals, pixel thermals dont let you tweak anything.I see. I just want to have lower temp for my phone. I use my phone while charging sometimes, of course once it reach 43°C temp, it won't charge.
I'm lowering the charging rate via NGK app. Still, battery not charging up at 1600mhz rate. Temp I normally have right now at 39-44°C. Last time I use Pixel + NGK (older ones), I don't reach this kind of temp (except when playing).
Just use stock, there's a difference between benchmark scores/gaming and real world performance tho. Scores are just scores. Ngk has higher gpu clocks speeds which usually gives better performance in framerates, but many things are to consider including your ambient temps. Anyways just use whats best for youI think stock karnel is better for my device because I just restored the sotck Karnel and wiped dalvik, cache and as you can see the results improved again in the Benchmarks app and yes my device is rooted and I tried change profile from performance to game in the NGK app but the results is same.
Are we waiting for a new update? If we are going to be honest, of course we are but @Pierre2324 actually doesn't owe us anything.
He'll release if when he feels like it, there should be no pressure from our part.
Battery drain is not the main issue here, it depends on the rom you're using.
What needs to be fixed is the screen freezes that occurs on any rom when the touch firmware doesn't fit your panel.
But then again, this might not affect some people that already has the correct specific unit for that firmware version.
How can this be fixed? Revert back to the 1.5 or release 2 variants of touch firmwares for the next update.
