Wait are you saying HydrogenOS is really good on battery compared to Oxygen OS?flash HydrogenOS and have your phone last twice as long lol
It's a kernel. Not a Rom.How is the battery backup in this ROM ? What is the SOT you guys are getting?
If you meant the battery backup in this kernel, it's pretty much the same as stock kernel for me, not much of a huge changes (still rocking the regular 6.5 hours SoT), but I guess that's better than having less.How is the battery backup in this ROM ? What is the SOT you guys are getting?
My stock is 5 .5 hrs. Do u use any other app or settings .. 6.5 is damn good bro.If you meant the battery backup in this kernel, it's pretty much the same as stock kernel for me, not much of a huge changes (still rocking the regular 6.5 hours SoT), but I guess that's better than having less.
Nope, I guess that depends on your usage, I just let the kernel and ROM as is, and 6.5 hours seems to be the average SoT I am getting everyday.My stock is 5 .5 hrs. Do u use any other app or settings .. 6.5 is damn good bro.
Runs great thank you!A new update is up and running, I tried lots of experimental changes in this build but only some managed to pass the testing phase and be uploaded to GitHub. There isn't much to behold here, but it is what it is, I guess.
Changes :
* Merged Nvidia's power efficiency patches
* Fixed CVE-2016-5696 vulnerability
* Some upstreaming from AOSP (ecryptfs)
* Added frandom support
* Optimized random and entropy
* Updated f2fs drivers (thanks to eng.stk)

I use EX Kernel Manager.What kernel tuning software is recommended to use with this kernel? The only thing I want to enable is sRGB on boot as I've noticed it's only on the stock kernel that sRGB sticks on reboot.
This kernel is for oxygen os
Strange, I didn't modify anything related to wlan, does the older version works for you?
Boy oh boy read the damn OP!!!!
My kernel does not modify anything related to force encryption, so, if stock OxygenOS has force encryption turned on, then it is the same for my kernel.@F4uzan
Hi! finally got my OP3 delivered today. So first thing i want to do is to unlock bootloader and decrypt the storage. Since i'm new to this encryption stuff, and has read about it over google searches. Just want to confirm, does your kernel also has forced encryption flag? And how can i prevent the kernel forced encryption once i remove the encryption from the storage? From what i read, flashing Oxygen OS full zip and reboot will force encrypt the storage again unless you flash a custom kernel with force encryption flag turned off.
