i test emui 8 vs RRO beta 3 with this kernel. RRO seems a bit slower and recent apps it's a bit lag sometimes. Emui 8 it's perfect and smooth.

How to run automatically ex kernel manager on boot? Because even I enable a start on boot in ex kernel won't work. I'm using EMUI 8.

What is true difference between Uber version of Kernel and Linaro version? Can I just flash Linaro version on top of the Uber version?

In Phone Manager, Launch, set for EX: Manual (instead of sutomatic), and choose all three Auto and Secundary Start, Run in Background)

You can flash one kernel over another (I had Uber, then flashed kernel for Honor 8 from post #60, and later Linaro)

Linaro version got updated to 4.4.162 and runs since 2 weeks on my device. More to come....

I have to change security patch level, then all will work.

As said, security patch level arent changed in earlier builds yet. All will come by time, check folders by tomorrow, should be all up for every firmware.

Are you flashing with TWRP for Oreo from HWOTA7 thread, and by selecting to flash to the Kernel.
Also, although you are on RR, you must know what was your stock Oreo build number, eg b535 or b539, and to flash the corresponding ECO kernel and/or the corresponding stock kernel

It works as it doesnt changed anything. B539+B540 using same security patch.

Stock got compiled with latest working upstream 4.4.166 and should be up soon as UBER is done. More should come after fixing issues on higher sources.

b540 has Security Patch Dec 5, b539 was released by the end of Nov and (must have) had November Security patch (maybe sec patches don't differ much)

They use same ones or the kernel wouldnt boot.
