Hello,
I'm having my end semester exams from 21st November to 2nd December
So I'll update this kernel after 2nd December
Till then you can report here with your experience with this kernel.
Your report will encourage me to do necessary changes in this kernel.
If I get no report (however it may be.. good/bad) I'll not be able to understand what you guys want.
Hope you guys understand

Cheers

@ABSathe I got half a day with this kernel
Around 3 hours of screen on time, being around 30 minutes watching a youtube video while on max brightness.
Spent some time on facebook, instagram, xda labs and gamming (Around 15 minutes each)
It was a middle to heavy usage
Also, I didn't really noticed it, but I feel that my battery dropped around 8~10% overnight (During 6 hours)
Not sure about that, but if is true, that was a lot.
This kernel has a really good performance but a not so great battery life
I believe that this is a common dilemma on kernels
Having a good performance but sacrificing battery or prioritizing battery and losing on performance instead

Well, let's wait for more reports before trying to change things in order to find somewhere in the middle of performance and battery

PS: Good luck on your exams :)

Great work @ABSathe
I must say emitted photons have high intensity :)p)
This Kernel is giving me best performance I've ever had on my device
Regarding battery backup :
Battery backup is good for me as I don't use gapps
So I can easily use my phone for 3-4 days (Mainly WhatsApp /light games / web surfing /Music ) without charging
For those who want better battery life , use Lionheart governer and set max frequency to 787 MHz
@Raxcomss you should mention apps you were using .. I believe there is some problem in your apps because this kernel serves me very good on both performance and battery(earlier I used to get only 2 days backup without gapps )

For me this kernel is serving best for daily use
Big fat thanks
Thinking of sticking to this kernel for a while

I've mentioned them. There weren't much more apps in use, just whatsapp and telegram.

This night I did a clean install of cm 14.1 from anderson, installed this kernel and all apps that I was using before
This time overnight didn't drained me so much (around 3~4% in 8 hours) so I believe that I've had a problem on my previous set up that resulted on this battery backup.
I'm going to test it again to see how it will work this time ;)

I've been using this for 3 days without gapps
Only music and WhatsApp and of course XDA labs
Still at 50% SOT is ~2 hrs

As for performance @Raxcoms said it correctly .. Its just great  I'm loving it !!

PS-dont go by 29 days ago (I've charged my phone on 16 Nov )
I'm pretty sure my ROM has messed up with dates :silly:
@ABSathe I'd suggest making 2 versions like clarity kernel gesture wake and non gesture wake

Sent from my Motorola Moto E using XDA Labs

Hey great work @ABSathe
I'm pleased with both backup and performance
I used Bluetooth always on and played music for approx 6-7 hrs per day (big fan of classical singing )
Got 4 days backup

Just a little suggestion : Don't forget dt2w in next build .. My phone rebooted because of power button once

Overall great kernel

Photon r5 is up
Changelog :
  • Disable gentle fair sleepers
  • Enable Arch Power
  • Add more optimizations
Someone please give me detailed review about performance and battery life on this update
I would like to stabilise everything before adding custom hotplug and gesture wake
I've personally tested this build on RR latest build (7.1.1 ) .. and everything seems to be working fine
