Heads Up !! => " Prime V5 Finally Released "

Dear Users and Friends who may have companioned us since the first release or maybe even the New users who have just joined us , Prime V5 is released and There are So many changes Made which I briefly Explain :
- The Kernel is Upgraded to linux v3.4.113 which means better Performance and Stability
- So many Different Govs which you need to try in order to find the one which suits you best :p ( It all depends on the user for example @Stogie87 prefers the stock Interactive but @steveman29 prefers using InteractiveX and me myself prefer Badass :D "
- BFQ I/O Scheduler is added
- GPU tweaks which help you get better visual results for example with Antutu , you used to get scores around 9000 to 9400 with the stock but now you can get around 10000 :D ( it's not much but it's Okey to me ... It's Sure better than nothing ;) )
- CPU Workqueus are more battery friendly but , you can't feel them and battery life is a bit better than V4 but it's a great improvement because the New version's consumption was much more before and so many things were done to reduce it to a minimum usage
- Performance and Stability is Much Better and you can even play Super Demanding Games
That's all for now but as you know " it's easier said than done " and it was very time demanding and the fixing staff was quite hard and massive :p ... I also wanted to Thanks @steveman29 and @Stogie87 for their help with P600 release :good: ... and Finally , I want to thank you all for you companionship and interest in my humble Project :good: ... I hope you like the V5 release

With Best Wishes

Dear Friend , Thanks for your feedback ... I just flashed Prime V5 P600 on my own tablet inorder to check and everything were OK ( If you'd like I can send you the screen shots ) ... The default CPU Gov is interactive ( in kernel Auditor , you need to go to the CPU tab and below the Core list , in the 3rd row , it's written "CPU Governor " where you can choose your Gov ) ... but just in order to make sure nothing is wrong , I would respectfully request @Stogie87 and @steveman29 to give you a hand in case there's anything wrong and confirm if there's something wrong with the Build :) ... We have been testing this for around 5 days ... but , please contact me in case there's something wrong , So that I compile a revision ASAP :D ... Great Thanks in Advance

I can choose via kernel audiutor all governors. No problems here. In some cases supersu restores the original stock kernel. I am not sure but i had this strange behavior after my update to latest super su build with installed prime kernel v5. Check in settings, if you can see, that the kernel is correctly installed.

Hey, it was my fault. I was looking for I/O instead of Governors. I apologize to both testers and hitman. Here is my take on this V5 kernel. I LOVE IT. It is now probably the BEST one for this device to date. Its smooth , very fast, excellent on battery and stable. This is rare that we have it all with this baby. Currently I am using Badass governor and testing on HD video streaming, Spen, web browsing, launching apps.. so far I haven't found any issues yet. I will post up date if founf any. This is theee kernal for TW rom. Excellent job Hitman and same goes to testers. Attached is my screen shot of my device running Badass governor.. check it out, even better that expected. BTW, My device is full of apps...scored 51655

Oh ... No problem man ... I would be glad to help at any time :) ... We're really glad that you liked Our project  ... I'll add your Picture to the OP if you'd like me to do so ( In case you'd like to , Please label you picture with your ID and Kernel Version ... ) ... also , if you make your ROM cleaner and let it settle for a bit and finally try Antutu Benchmark , you may even get up to 54XXX Scores :D ( actually , It's in case you use "Interactive" which is completely different with "badass " as in the first one , the frequency is raised faster and with even a small task ... but in the 2nd one , the task should prove itself as a demanding one in order make the CPU freq rise :p which can be a small explain for the lower scores with Badass :D But, My User experience with Badass is quite good and I guess It's best for my type of usage ;) ) ... Great Thanks for your Energetic Reply :good: :good:

You can add, no problem, but if you want to have current screenshots you must wait a little while. I have to do a full charging cycle again to give you trustful battery stats.

I had intention to send batterylife pictures, but somehow it was the second time my device fall very fast down from 50 percent to 8 percent without using it. It seems like it has to do with media server...

Very Interesting ...

No problem , Thanks for your report :good: . actually , I don't think it's related to the new Kernel . I personally use the same source and every thing is fine :D . I played some games to reduce the battery from the 53% to around 40% to see if it jumps , but , as you can see in the 3 attached pics , there's no problematic behavior seen esp.with the " Media Server "( you can check the time and percentage in both pics as their both acquired today ) But , If you'd like to , I can provide you some tips which may or may not fix the problematic behavior ( Don't for get to backup using "Titanium Backup" before the 3rd one ) :
- Try wiping Cache and Dalvik
- Try Battery Calibration ( It will fix it in case you have some problem with your Battery )
- Try dirty flashing ( Although it's much better to Clean Flash ) the stock firmware . The newly flashed firmware can be the same as or different from ( recommended ) your current firmware .
I Hope they fix your problem ... I would be really glad to know about your results ... Great Thanks in Advance

PS. The picture without Battery percentage is when it was 43% and it wasn't connected to Computer or any other thing since 53% :D

@hitman1376:
Hello my friend,
i finally was able to create 2 screenshots of my batterlife experience with your latest Prime Kernel V5 and i really got amazing results with my p600 in combination with greenify app. Check it with your own eyes:D
I got this resuls with interactive governour and low usage behavior (most of it was writing via lecture notes with deactivated wifi and blueetooth). Great Kernel!:good:

Hi there ... Oh ... Amazing ... Thanks a lot Man ... I'm glad you You finally managed to Fix the Battery problem :good: ( would you please explain the way you did it , so that others can do it in case they face the same ? :D ) ... I'm really glad that you liked the kernel and it's behavior :) ... One more thing , If you were on CM / AOSP in both Nougat and Marshmallow , how was the battery life then ? ( I mean how far are we from reaching their stage of Performance / Battery life / Stability ? ) I'm actually thinking about Going for a Nougat Version , too ( actually I may setup a Poll ) :D ... It's currently just a simple idea So , I need to look for more details in case of availability of the source for both devices , stability , Problem with SPEN ( which I remember since the last time I were Using AOSP ) and so many other factors which I would need to check ( I just wanted to share the Idea with you guys ) ... also , One more thing , I were checking My PMs from Old times and I saw one of your PMs which I had forgotten to check ( it was sent on Oct 26th ... quite old :D ) and It was providing a very very useful idea about the Telegram stuff ... I wanted to know if you're still interested in that ? ( Sorry Man , It was so bad that I hadn't seen it ... it could make the progress much much easier and faster ... but , it's never late ... ) Please PM me with the details so that we could try it out ... Thanks for being a helping hand like always :good: ...

After a few benchmarks and seeing their performance on the day by day, both in applications of use simple as in games that use well resources hardware, I say that this kernel is much higher than the stock. for me the best governor for the CPU is the SMARTMAX and I / 0 scheduler best are BFQ or NOOP. with the parameters original kernel stock (interactive and cfq) the score, the greater was 1600 approximately already with smartmax and bfq / noop spent easily 1800, using the vellamo benchmark for test CPU, memory Ram and storage. already for 3d graphics used the antutu benchmark and little changed the score, ranging from 52500 almost 54000.

Like i already said, i have the best batterylife experience ever with this kernel.
What i have done to get 10h SOT? -> Nothing special!:fingers-crossed:
I´m just using interactive governour in combination with the paid version of greenify aand my display brightness is on automatic.

My settings within of greenify:
- Modus = Root + Boost (Xposed)
- Wake-up Tracking and Cut-off = activated
- Automatic hibernation (4.1 +) = activated
- Notifications with Quicksettings = Disabled

Xposed based functions within of greenify:
- Timer fusion = activated
- Telephony Wakeup = activated
- Don´t remove Notifications = activated
- Deep hibernation (alpha) = activated
- GCM Push for greeenified apps = activated
- Greefifiying system apps = activated
- Expose hidden synchronisations = activated

Which apps i have greenfied?
-> All of my user- and system-apps except of those ones which having the "working" notification and those ones which having a widget on my launcher dashboard.

That is all i have done and i easily got 9h up to 10h SOT with this kernel. :D

I don't think there was really a bug with my batterysettings. The issue was caused by a user app, which wasn't closed correctly, so it drained my battery very fast from 50 percent down to 5 percent. I don't think, that other users will facing the same issue.

Before prime kernel was released, i tried different cm roms like temasek cm 12.1, temasek 13, unofficial cm 13 by joshndroid and orion os, but no one of them getting a better batterylifetime than official lp touchwiz rom.
With the cm based roms i regularly got between 4 and 6 hours sot and with official tw lp rom approximately 8h. I think the problem was, that no one was able to calibrate the hardware driver correctly for our device and the kernel was also far away from being perfect.

I also have intention to switch sooner or later to nougat, because since we have ZakooZ as a developer for our device, cm become interesting again. I think people also getting a very smooth experience and over 10h sot with their p600 by using his unofficial cm 14.1 build, but there are several reasons, why i don't want to switch at the moment:

1. No lollipop bootloader support. (i need to go back to 4.4.2 bootloader to avoid huge issues with the sound, random reboots and a laggy system workflow. That means i must repair my system with a kitkat build, with other words, a full system reset)
-> It is not possible to switch easily between cm 14 and tw 5.1.1 at the moment

2. CyanogenMod Theming Engine is not available for cm14. 1 at the moment

3. Xposed Framework is not available for nougat at the moment

4. Screen Mirroring isn't working on any cm build, including cm 14.1 by ZakooZ

So i will wait until at least cmte and xposed are released for nougat before i would switch to cm 14.1. I hope, that someone will also get screen mirroring working for p600...

Great Thanks for the explanation :good: and the Greenify and XPOSED settings ... I'll link you to the OP ... Also , about the CM 14.1 , I'm not sure how they are getting that batterylife ... I mean , is it like here that we have Auto Brightness , SPEN used and we get arround 10 hours SOT ? or we should Low down the Brightness and UV and UC in order to get That ? ... but , BTW , It seems quite good ( as I tried CM12 / 12.1 / 13 and there were not that interesting IMHO ) The Only and the Most Tempting part is the R7P0 drivers which I would like to see how well they are and also I'm looking for a way to setup OpenGL ES 3.1 and finally I wanted to experiment with New AOSP build in so many different parts :p ( It actually Seems like a toy to me  ) But , The Biggest problem for me is the KK Bootloader ( which you actually mentioned ) and the low SPEN performance and Samsung's Fancy features like the Action Memo and SNote which I think AOSP misses ( Does the SPEN work properly on CM14.1 or it still has the old Reboot Bug ? ) ... Great Thanks for your Collaborations :good: ...
