You installed on the January build?
Yes, patched the boot image and flashed and working like a charm.
Do you have vbmeta enabled or disabled?Yes, patched the boot image and flashed and working like a charm.
Enabled, I think. Just patched and flashed the boot.img, and after that, flashed the kernel.
So you have verity and verification enabled? I don't think you can flash a custom boot image with that intact. I couldn't.Enabled, I think. Just patched and flashed the boot.img, and after that, flashed the kernel.
I dont mess with verity and verification, I think with the last version of magisk It's not necessary. So you have verity and verification enabled? I don't think you can flash a custom boot image with that intact. I couldn't.
I will give it a try againSo you have verity and verification enabled? I don't think you can flash a custom boot image with that intact. I couldn't.
My apologies. He does have a zip. I thought it was a boot image.I dont mess with verity and verification, I think with the last version of magisk It's not necessary.
This morning opened the bootloader, flashed the boot image from the january update patched with last canary magisk, and after that, flashed this kernel.
Just that.
Yes, flashed with Franco kernel appMy apologies. He does have a zip. I thought it was a boot image.
He's using an unreleased build, I'll make it public soon.
Sorry, forgot to mention that.
I provide anykernel zip which can be flashed via kernel manager apps and fastboot images for fastboot flash, everything is explained in the op. Btw don't flash v1.0.0 cuz I'm about to release the January one soon.I wonder if it's possible to patch stock boot image and boot the phone. Then patch custom boot image and flash in kernel manager without disabling vbmeta?
I have been using custom kernel zips and flashing in kernel manager without disabling vbmeta and also preserving root.
Thanks for clarifying and for your work.I provide anykernel zip which can be flashed via kernel manager apps and fastboot images for fastboot flash, everything is explained in the op. Btw don't flash v1.0.0 cuz I'm about to release the January one soon.
Thank you. My bad. I usually read the OP before asking dumb questions. I shouldn't have assumed it was a boot image.I provide anykernel zip which can be flashed via kernel manager apps and fastboot images for fastboot flash, everything is explained in the op.
