Hi. Is there any way to implement DC dimming instead of PWM on Pixel 6 Pro?

Yes. Easiest way is through kernel flashing app like Franco fkm or the many others.i believe they're is also a free one available one on of the kernel threads in the p6pro dev pageCan I flash this kernel on a custom rom and maintain root, or this is only for official builds?
I did it but can't get rooted still patching the boot.img before installYes. Easiest way is through kernel flashing app like Franco fkm or the many others.i believe they're is also a free one available one on of the kernel threads in the p6pro dev page
You can flash it on custom ROM , but you will boot without Root..Can I flash this kernel on a custom rom and maintain root, or this is only for official builds?
It's also on Derp 13 with the same limitations. You can flash it on custom ROM , but you will boot without Root..
This happens on any custom a13 ROM ( besides zephyrus that ships on stock kernel)
On the zephyrus beta build that ships with radioactive 2.03 you will also not be able to flash another custom kernel and maintain root
Nope i just will build one kernel, if it works in xyz rom it's fine if it isn't it's fine for me too. Btw pa didn't released any kernel source afaik so who knows what is needed to be done to make a kernel compatible with that rom.@acuicultor will you ever build a PA version of your custom kernel? AOSPA dev said that custom kernels MUST support PA AND GMS is included
I'll skip the 7 series for now, i'm happy with the p6p and not thinking about changing it.thanks for the kernel @acuicultor !
running really smooth!
will you be staying on the 6 pro or will you move to the 7 series? :/
Good to hear when others are bailing ship. I'm happy with my p6p as well (although my wife got the 7pp). Look forward to flashing your excellent kernel on the next update.I'll skip the 7 series for now, i'm happy with the p6p and not thinking about changing it.
i find radioactive smoother. feels better all around.
Sorry but no although it's not difficult to get it working i don't want to support a device that i don't own, i don't want to rely on people to test my stuff. Is there any chance this will be expanded to include the 6a?
just asking...just jealous.![]()

I've had no problems.Does anyone know if this is good to go on November? I'm betting it is but wanted to confirm.
I also want to know but waiting for @acuicultorDoes anyone know if this is good to go on November? I'm betting it is but wanted to confirm.
Finally got it working. Thank you so much. I've been at this for almost a week. Amazing battery life on this kernel. In my experience with custom ROMs, the key has been to flash the stock ROM (let it wipe) to both slots, then flash the custom ROM, then root and flash the custom ROM boot image like normal.
Ofc you can use any kernel manager for flash this kernel, you just need to flash it on top of a compatible rom. Only stable stock rom is fully compatible, custom roms are hit or miss i can't support every single one because idk the changes they have made in their trees. Why can't you flash this with a kernel manager? I've tried EKM and franco and still can't get it to work. Gets a bootloop every time. I was able to flash with fastboot but couldn't get root back. Really has me scratching my head. Should I root before I flash with fastboot?
